I've gotten a ton of boxes doing the repeatable DB contract and TG covetous countess quests. (You can stock cleaned goods for the TG covetous countess quest and do them over and over very quickly). Nothing good so far save one single-coin furnishing and one gold legerdemain tips item. Not really worth any specific effort toward getting boxes, IMO. It's a great time to level toons that don't have max legerdemain, though. Especially since the levels will also count toward the golden pursuit.

Yeah, I'd like to see a screenshot of these claims. Because I'm not seeing them dropping pouches. Nevermind that this was stated...

Maybe there's something we need to do to activate the event. I don't know. But right, at my end, the event isn't definitely working. I've been pickpocketing NPCs with a character with a bounty over 100k gold, and there's no rewards, no new items, just the usual white and green quality stuff and very, very, rarely a blue item. The only noticeable difference is that I've been getting way lower quality items from chests now than until two days ago.

I just did like 15+ of them and not one pouch, so mayhaps they got them from pickpocketing. I don't think I even seen any from lockboxes doing them for the board quest. So that seems like false information from those players.

I was mostly doing it just to level the thieves guild skill line some, for the swiftly forgotten passives.

    Crime doesn't pay, after all.

Plus there isn't anything that everyone desperately wants, just some niche items that a select few would be interested in. There'll be a market for those who get lucky.

Besides, we just had the jubilee event flood us with goodies. Everyone doesn't need everything.
For one, there's a difference between something dropping infrequently and something basically never dropping.

For another, it doesn't matter if something is a 'niche' item or not. A busted drop rate is still a busted drop rate. And how can you know what anyone other than yourself 'desperately wants'? You can't claim no one is interested in any given item.

Finally, using a previous event to justify bad drop rates is a slippery slope, considering how many events there are and also the fact that this one drops entirely different rewards, so what we got from the last event is irrelevant anyway.

I was doing the DB repeatables (the "spree"/"kill 3" quests) to level up that skill line on a character. I assumed it would apply to the same TG repeatable, but it seems that is not the case. Not sure why the difference between the TG repeatable and the DB repeatable. I guess the TG repeatable is deemed to be easier to farm? Not sure. The kill 3 quests are super easy, and there's an addon to pick up only those quests.

Anyway, sorry for the bad info. I got about 3 levels, which I think is about 15 bags. Mostly useless items. The best item I got is worth 40 points toward legerdemain. That is a drop in the bucket. Much easier to farm the Telvanni underground to level it than to farm for these items in this event.

I decided to use this as a chance to level my dark brotherhood for the robe that you get for "the void" quest. I do not earn anymore experience for completing either kill quest dailies or the daily quest. So as far as I am concerned, the event does not work. It still dropping 20/ 10/ 5 DB on completes

Ya odd decision to not reward thieves guild for similar. Started doing dark brotherhood repeats and just about as bad of rng as my earlier pickpocketing.

I've used the event just as a nudge to actually do the thief and dark brotherhood dailies on my two naughty ladies, but I would have loved if we'd had a full-on thief/brotherhood pursuit or event that just had more nice thief/brotherhood themed rewards. Nothing super high end, I know other players don't do stealing/murdering for RP reasons so I don't want any major complaints that the nefarious among us are getting special treatment. But it does feel like they were a bit stingy on the rewards. I'm getting the pouches reliably from every daily quest, but they are a bit meh.

I'd have been happy as anything with a clothing item/costume or even some sneaky related deco. I've been playing Fallout 76 this week and they have an event reward that's a bag of money. It would funny to have an ESO equivalent for those of us who pickpocket frequently! My partner tends to run from guards and into the ocean, and he really wants some more clothing that's just the bottom half for men. So on his behalf I'd also request thieves swimming shorts ;)

Feels like there's no event at all tbh. Pretty meh.

I kinda wish they would update and add more content to Heists and Sacraments with more useful/relevant rewards. They haven't touched them at all since they were introduced many, many years ago aside from maybe a lead or two.

Actually, they could have just placed those new furnishing rewards in the Heists/Sacraments instead of a time-limited event.

The drop rate for the pouches from pickpocketing is disappointingly low. The drop rate for the furnishings is even worse. So much for this "event". I'll just stick to leveling legerdemain on my alts.

The maintenance during this event has made it feel far too short. I sincerely wish we got a week. I don't hyper check for updates and was taken by surprise and already have little free time because of work so I am a little disappointed I have to wait.

I have only been pickpocketing during this event ( and using BOW ) in certain locations like the elden root throne room ( highly dangerous with maxed pickpocketing odds ) and certain summerset locations with nobles.

my bounty = 100,000 atm. and at maxed champion points for pickpocket rewards.

Things I have found in about 3 days:

    Wood elf throne blueprint x2
    Monk outfit x4
    Single Coin stolen furnishing x1
Ill Gotten Gains Box x31 - 46 ( Contents: Purple Treasure, Monk Outfit, Single Coin, Blue Treasure, Leniency and Counterfeit Edicts, Infinite Green and White "Treasure". )
    Purple Treasure item roughly x9
    Blue Treasure x55 - 75
    Infinity Green and White Treasure
    Stolen Lockpicks x<10

I gave up on the whole thing after Day 2.

On Thursday, pickpocketing dropped pouches at a reasonable rate, even though there was nothing of interest inside them.

On Friday nothing dropped, and that's when I lost interest.

As its too much of a mob scene over the weekend, I've not gone back and with maintenance today, I wont even try again before it finishes tomorrow.

I had to pay a LOT this time to colect all furnishings.

This event can definitly be improved but the game needed some rare tings to sell for the sake of the economy.

In addition to the usual drop npc should have dropped bags of coins (in game currency) to motivate players.
I too dropped it the second day.

What a waste of a weekend. I spent hours and hours on both the TG and DB dailies, and random pickpocketing/murdering/looting/safeboxes. For the dailies, I received the pouches, but across multiple accounts and characters, on the max dailies for all, across all days, I received ZERO furnishings. Aside from one leniency edict, all I got was basically a single green "treasure" per pouch.

As for all the rest: zip, zero, zilch. Not a single pouch. And my bounty was well over 10k most of the time.

I was excited for this one, and it was fun for a little while to return to these older areas, but... I wish in hindsight I had just focused on the Golden Pursuit tasks instead. Especially since they didn't bother to bundle a single TG or DB activity into the Golden Pursuit list.

Just been doing marked for death dailies they’re really quick for pouches, I’ve had 3x velothi triptych’s unfortunately they’ve all been the geyser and I need waterfall, and 1 gold legerdemain booster. Not bad RNG really so far, the triptych drop rate HAS to be better than the lockboxes so I’ll keep trying.

I wish they'd stop with the RNG inside RNG wrapped in RNG for these types of drops. I got 2 of the XP boosters and zero furnishings, new or old, in a weekend of rampant crime. It was fun to go back and do those dailies and sneak around with a high bounty but not rewarding as events go.
