Also leveling slow? Lvl 50 in 5 days is just silly. To do that you much have played days and night. Used every addon avaible to as fast as possible got what you need.

6 days INGAME, not Real Life. Thats 144 hours in 40 days. Thats roughly 3 hours a day, minus the occasional weekend-sessions.

And in this 144 hours, I read all the books I could find, I explored every dungeon (have the explorer-achievement) and skiled 3 professions to 40+
Oh, and I didnt grind a single mob, did it all through questing.
Thats why I think everyone who has 7+ days and still not reached 50 must have a lot of idle time. Like hanging around in cities chatting. Or letting the game run while afk.

Also, reaching highest level that fast, I cant see how any person would learned so much about battles, grouping, dungeons etc, that they are "good enough".
50 is not highest level, 50 is when the leveling finally begins.
I dont have a single addon, and the game works exellent for me.
Thats your bad. The addons make the game even better.
I get happy as hell when I find a skyshard....can go for hours hunting for em, lol. And NO, I will not use an addon to find the skyshards for me......its part of the fun to do that yourself!
I cant see the fun in that, because it makes no sense to me, but everyone can play as he likes.
Anyway. GREAT game. Love it, even with bugs. I am very impressed what ESO have coming in patch 1.1. Glad I subscribed for 6 months =)
Agreed, the game is great. If only there where housing :)

For me, it doesn't make any conceivable sense to just look them up or find them with mods.

I love the little thrill I get when I stumble upon a shard by coincidence. I love to puzzle out the hints from the achievements page and like to feel all smart for finally grasping what was meant. (Took me embarrassingly long to figure out: "a sound like steam...")

As for the time it takes to level: I'm not idling anywhere, I always feel as if I have stuff to do, but maybe this is really a difference in playstyle.
I like to feel as if I'm living in that world. I go about the things people want me to do, I sort through my belongings, I gather the stuff I need, I trade, I craft, I tend to my equipment, etc.
Leveling up is something that happens to me, not something I try to achieve, so to speak.
I'm not exactly a role player, but I am one of those who switch the "hide helmet" function off when in Eastmarch and crafts herself a nice fur-lined Nord style robe, because of the cold. ;)

And thats your right to do so

For me, every way has to have a destination. I HATE wandering around aimlessly, in Real Life and in Virtual Worlds.
So for me knowing where everything is and then make an expedition towards it is way more fun then stumbling around.

Oh, and I hide my helmet too when entering a City

Finding skyshards by the hints is possibly one of the most rewarding feelings you get in any MMO for exploration.

Drowned in the south by a clever bird. This one made me nearly tear my head off. But I was so happy to get it!

Sorry, but I dont feel that way. If the hints where more weaved in the game (like the Riddler-Hints in the Batman-Franchise) instead of being buried in that stupid Achievementwindow it would be different. But as it is of now, no thank you.

8 days and 5 hours /played on my main, level 44. I often spend time in the game without trying to level. For example spending a whole play session just exploring a new area without taking any quests, just hunting for lorebooks/chests/sights. Sometimes even fishing.

I have had many play sessions like this.

I have lost count of how many places that I have found just wandering, collecting resources and exploring, where I have thought to myself, "I want a cabin right HERE".

It is not the destination, it is the journey.

True, true... it is the journey...well, what if the journey is boring? Yes I know...get on another train...

No, this is not a leaving post GMs. I got a 6 month subscription. :)

I am sorry that you don't like the game. But I don't need to be mobbed by entertainment every step of the game. I am no hardcore RPer. But I roleplay insofar as I whip up my own story about what I am actually doing in this virtual world.

For me being guided through a hose like level is something that makes a game boring. What would be your Ideal Chirru?

    I agree with OP.

New game, new systems, new everything. Give it some time, folks. Daddy always said you never buy the first model year of a new car because they haven't worked all the bugs out yet. Same with any game. First few months is always about shaking down the system and seeing what breaks loose.

ZOS has been really good, so far, about addressing progress-halting bugs, fixing those little things that can literally break the game. But taking down the mega-server to fix things just engenders more screeching from the complainers. Can't have it both ways, kids.

Patch 1.1 is bringing new end-game content, fixing class issues and balancing. Aside from Rift, I don't remember a game that pumped out content this fast.

Been playing pretty much every night since head start and am only 31 on my main, a Bosmer Nightbow and 17 on an alt that's paired with a friend. Not in any hurry to reach VR content because I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing every square inch of every zone, doing everything for every NPC after talking to, quite literallyl, everyone all the time. Ok, so I'm a bit OCD about completing stuff.

Calm down. Take a deep breath. Experience the full breadth and depth of a Tamriel as it is now. I can remember wondering what Valenwood looked like, now I can see it! Tha'ts awesome! So much wonderful stuff to see and do if you only take the time to stop and smell the roses.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

Ha! I've got you all beat on the stopping and rose smelling. I've been playing since the first instant of early access and my two main characters are levels 12 and 15. Granted, the vast majority of my time is spent playing bank-alt bingo, but still...

I've only played one other MMO but in those five years in E:ON I came to know that some of us live for the exploration, some for the PVP, some for the camaraderie, some for the PVE and some for the Construction. I understand the reasons people play, which I don't share, but I don't enjoy them myself.
Oooh look, lot's of Butterflies! Wait! Butterflies? Get out of here Sheo, stop bugging me!

    Couldn't agree more!

I do not understand people who "must" use addons. The lorebook gives you exellent tips where they are, and I would say walking in on one, which I have done a few times the past few days, is one of the greatest feelings in the game.

Why take that away with addons?

Also, I have friends, even guildfriends who uses addons. When I ask why, I rarely get any answer....more like "Its easier to find them and I need em?"

*scratching my head* I still don't get it

"because running around aimlessly trying to decipher cryptic oneliners hidden away in a crappy user interface is dull, boring and definitely not worth my precious lifetime" would be my answer.
