Poll on Sorc Pets usage

REALLY SIMPLE. Do you play sorc WITH or WITHOUT pets?
I REALLY want to know, just what is the population like for pet and non pet sorcs.
AINT NO WAY the devs are changing sorcs now to Pet sorc or no sorc.
who even uses those filthy pets????
PVE or PVP, whichever side youre on is irrelevant, this is supposed to be the entirety of the sorc pop consensus of the usage of pets.

Non-Pet Sorc

I used to but I don't feel the need to anymore most of the time. They're more like training wheels to me, though I still slot clannfear on the rare occasion.

to let go of my disappointment with the u46 path notes changes to deadric summoning line for 1 short moment to reply to this.

yes pets are viable, in a pve situation. but it is almost only in a pve situation, and even in that case, it is not needed to perform. ive rarely if not never seen a good pvp sorc that uses any of those pets, only person that pvps and uses those pets, somehow effectively, is haki. thats the end of the list. in fact I'd specifically target sorc players that have pets active in pvp, just cuz I know they are not packing ANY heat.

I still cant believe my eyes, I've looked at those patch notes a few times alrdy.

General Skill Line: We’re removing the separation of a pet vs no pet build in this skill line now that sub-classing is here. Those who do not wish to interact with the pet gameplay can now replace this skill line as a whole. Many abilities in this skill line have been adjusted with this in mind.

this note boils my blood like no other. sorcs arent just a pet class. Zos if you like those filthy pets so much, make a class that has 3 skill lines that are filled with pets, why are you forcing your players to either use pets or go subclass.

Oh, you mean those pets in PVP that get in the way of attacks because of the awful targeting system, but were also the reason the devs gave for nerfing Plaguebreak, because they were proccing that set? Yeah...

Non-Pet Sorc

PvE soloist here.

If the matriarch was a nixad I'd use her. Maybe. The trouble with a ranged pet is that when I command my companion tank to charge in, a ranged pet initiates combat prematurely causing the boss to charge instead of letting the tank grab the boss first.

The clannfear is almost worthless. The purple monkey is reasonably effective at damage but just way too ugly to slot.

The one daedric summoning skill I slot is Bound Aegis. Perfect for an Oakensorc due its totally passive magicka boost and minor resolve (that Oakensoul does not provide).

I only use pets in vma with ha oak build. Getting more into pvp now so pets are gone.
Mostly a pve solo player so I'm sticking with non pets so I can get used to my skills for pvp

I use both playstyles. Too bad this option is not available in this poll.

I prefer no pet builds in PVP and for most overland stuff. For soloing worldbosses, arena runs, dungeons or trials (normal and vet regardless) I bring them out.

Pet Sorc

I have both setups. My one bar uses pets, my two bar does not. Sometimes I might swap in the matriarch on my two bar if I want to get a ton of healing out to allies.

Both. My mag oakensorc is a pet build, my stam oakensorc is not.

I like the skills, I hate the animations, and since I'm on console, I wish there were an optional auto-dismiss whenever I approach a town. Every time I approach a population after a fight, I have to stop, dismiss them, and then continue.

Pet Sorc

I remember the clannfear being really scary when I first played one of the old games (probably oblivion) so it feels cool to have one at your beck and call. I can only imagine a sorcerer with pets as the only reason to play a sorcerer is for the easy mode which also reduces the chances of RSI.

I'm reminded of the clannfear when I watch the wheel of time as one of the forsaken is called Lanfear.

Pet Sorc

I play as if it's a single player so I never worry about whether my pet is flying in towns. I think it's like the arcanist colours - I imagine most people have got over it by now, like fake tanks.

all you who bring youre pet on 4x4 bg.... corse i understand sorc its class for cowards and noob, but get out youre pet on litle 4x4 mapsthis goes beyond the boundaries of adequate behavior. This is primarily a mockery of everyone who plays on the same map. What discussions can enter into with such inadequate players?
