What improvements would you make to Infinite Archive to make it more entertaining in the long run?

I'm not a big fan of the dragon bosses, whose chief way to beat you is to simply knock you off the edge of a map that IMO is way too small.

I agree! These are by far the worst and I can only defeat the lightning dragon when running alone with a Companion. I don't think they should be showing up in the early Arcs at all but I see them in Arc 2 a lot.

I meant to post this a couple of months back when you had started a thread on this very topic. But sometimes I forget stuff.

Anyhoo, I'd argue that if you're going to get a Dragon boss, it's best if you get it in early arcs because they're so much easier to kill than in later arcs. Case in point.. the dragon below is in Arc 2, and I killed it without much real effort. Compounded by the fact that I killed it while focusing on the Pilferer scamp instead of the boss, and I screwed my rotation all to hell while I was at it.

One other thing I would add is that as they continue to add new verses and visions, keep in mind that the more verses and visions you add, the less often the good ones people really want/need to do a long run in IA will come up. They should take a look at the most popular verses and visions people take on deep IA runs and try to design new verses and visions to be of equal quality as those verses and visions so it doesn't feel like you can't get anywhere because of bad RNG with your verses and visions.

I'd also suggest that you give the player more control over highly sought after leads such as those for Torc of the Aylied King. I know so many people who have been grinding for this for months, and because so many leads have been added to the IA pool, trying to get it has become a serious exercise in frustration. Long hours in IA for no reward.

Nothing causes disengagement more than frustration and feeling like your efforts were not appropriately rewarded.

With the amount of Verses and Visions likely to increase in U47/U48, I'd like to see 2 IA Upgrades that basically doubles the amount of them available in the selection after each Stage/Cycle/Arc/Unknown and allows you to get up to 2 of them in one selection.
    • 2 choices increased to 4 (without Filer Kor's Truesight or Sweeter Deal)
    • 3 choices increased to 6 (with Filer Kor's Truesight or Sweeter Deal)

I know people who go in and just do Arc 1/2 over and over again, but I can't handle playing IA like that. That would bore me to tears.

My friend and I used to run 4 Arcs on the weekend but going any further without a break is just too exhausting for me, both physically and mentally. So if I run it at all now it's just for 1 or 2 Arcs, which isn't exciting any more but it's all the non-stop combat I can do. We really need a save.

Yeah, save would be great. I would totally build to do more endurance runs if we had the option to save.

For now, I just go in with a build I know I can burn everything down very quickly, and that is formidable enough to get me through Arcs 4-7 with the right verses. The good ol' 1 bar 2 pet heavy attack sorc with Seargants Mail and Macabre's vintage. It makes farming the IA pretty fun and fast.

I just want to add that I appreciate ZOS adding something recently that has made the IA more interesting for me - 3 weekly furnishing plans that change each week.
Agreed! I've bought most of them as well.
Was the addition of these purple furnishing plans in the patch notes? I do the IA most days, and it was over a month before I noticed they were there. I missed a few I really wanted.
And when I posted their existence to discord, many other regular IA people didn't know about them as well.

    +1 save option.

Make Supplemental Thread drop at a reasonable rate.

I don't want more sets. Or at least more 5 piece sets. Maybe rework the ones that are there. Maybe arena-type weapon sets? 2, 3 or 4 piece sets? Farming the existing sets if you're just starting is hugely daunting. On my main account, I started doing IA right away, and usually do 2 arcs a day, and filling my stickerbook took forever. On my alt accounts, which only recently started IA, just looking at how much farming I would need to do for my stickerbook makes me exhausted. The game has too many sets. Let's rework the old ones, not add more.

It's interesting to me that antiquity lead drops is often mention in these threads. I guess my terrible RNG in other places is made up for in IA, because I filled my codex pretty quickly, and have ... uh ... 4 complete clothing stations (and am 4of5 on the 5th one), and 2 complete jewelry stations, 5 Vision of Mora, and so many of the purple and blue furnishings that they're becoming a problem. My Shadowqueen's Labyrinth is nearly wall to wall tentacles. Nevertheless, another plea to weight RNG, so those without this weird IA RNG quirk can get their furnishings.

Double exp and or fortune weekends

    This would be nice.

A Save option only available at the end of each Arc. Extra rewards for those not using such option. I do not play this due to getting tired of getting disconnected once in a while.

Tone down a few of the Mauraders. If you get them on an instance with no room to move around in later arcs you usually die.

A save option. Not having one is why I rarely run the IA any more. I just can't sit for hours at a time doing non-stop combat, but unless we do we will never see the higher Arcs.

Because of this the Infinite Archive is very Finite for me.

How this is not a feature at this point baffles me. I don't have the time or desire to sit down and play a glorified side-scroller for 3-4 hours. An hour at a time? Sure.

Save. Our. Progress. That's all I want. And it should count for leaderboard too. It never should have launched without that to begin with.

Not that I'm anywhere good enough to place, but no competition should have being able to sit for 20 hours straight and/or the quality of your mouse jiggler as part of it.
