BG Transmute Rewards Making My Mailbox Unusable

I know us BG players were begging for more transmutes for a long time.. and lo, you listened!! Thank you so much, but I believe it is a bit overkill now. My mailbox is completely useless at this point. I can't use the transmutes as fast as I accumulate them.

Thanks,

Ket

EDIT: Changed the title to more accurately describe my issue. Any solution to deal with the overflow of transmute rewards for people who do more than the daily BG would be welcome. Making the geodes stackable or removing the transmute cap would both be great solutions.

There's a way you can turn those into gold:
    1. Craft the cheapest traitless white weapons you can think of (maple bows or something)
    2. Use transmute station to turn them into nirnhoned (50 transmute each)
    3. Deconstruct the weapons for nirncrux (selling for 10k~ each on PC/EU)

Thanks for the tip but I have ample gold. I just want less busy work to keep my inventory clear :D

Speak for yourself, I appreciate the transmutes. Right click and destroy if you don't want them, but the rest of us need them for all the constant gear changes or need the gold from turning it into nirn

i'll have carpal tunnel by the end of the week from typing DELETE so many times XD I'm not only speaking for myself but also for many of my BG main friends who complain about this very same thing daily. But for sure your voice counts too.

better solution would to be just change how deletion works than to reduce rewards like have a box you could click then say "delete all"

Well, from time investment point of view it currently lines up with doing rnds (also 10 transmutes for roughly 15 minutes of your time).

I think what they should do is increase the transmute cap... or introduce some way to spend them on special collectibles/motifs or something.

The problem with not getting enough transmutes was that BGs felt very unrewarding to do. They still do to some degree (since new sets are worthless at this point), but they're atleast in line with rnds transmute wise.

Personally I've collected most of the stuff in the game - they should also get rid of all the motif and furnishing plan drops since I don't need them anymore. And overland set and base game dungeon set drops too while we're at it please.

Or you know, maybe they could add something that works for everyone like an option to auto-convert transmutes to gold or similar, for people who are at the cap and don't want them anymore. Lots of players do need the transmutes.

Fine with me idc what the solution is as long as my mailbox is once again functional. The things you mentioned aren't causing a problem with you having to spend inordinate amounts of time making space in your inventory.

Honestly just making them sellable to a vendor would be good enough for me.

Nah definitely don't do this. Coming from a PvE player, this is the way I farm transmutes because doing it via random normal dungeons and pledges gets old.

Yeah I don't need the gold either. But I'll never pass up an opportunity to fill up my stash of Nirncrux. But then too, I do a lot of master writs, so I go though them pretty regularly.

If I had my choice, there would be zero incentives for PVE players to play PVP. Why? Because part of the problem in PVP in this game is the number of players who go through the motions just for transmutes.

But with that said, you can solve your problem yourself if you're already content getting fewer transmutes.

Yeah, I don't have this problem. I do way too much theory crafting and character creation to get anywhere near the cap for transmutes.

This is my current strategy. Hence my complaint that my mailbox is not usable. They don't expire fast enough. I had to type DELETE 30 times to get some potions I purchased from a guild trader.

I do this during events. A lot of events reward cute little gimmicky consumables that you can't sell. Fun a few times when you first do an event, but annoying when they just will not stop coming and you have been doing event for years. Rather than constantly typing DELETE, only to have them right back in inventory as soon as I open next event box, I mark as junk and leave them in junk. Newly acquired items will go right to junk if same item is already in junk tab.

Doesn't save you inventory slots. But stuff in junk is fairly invisible and sort of doesn't clutter up "real" inventory. And then I just do a single "clear all junk" at end of event.

I think marking transmutes as junk or making them stackable would be a better solution. There is also at least one add on that will pre-type DELETE for you too. I prefer to add to junk, then what I can't sell gets destroyed.

When I was making my chars new sets, being able to get transmutes quickly via BGs was much better than running dungeons. I prefer the rewards vs what I get in dungeon RNDs.

    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

As a frequent tester of things who does not like jumping on the PTS every time I have a bright idea, I completely disagree with the OP.

I changed the title to more accurately reflect the situation, since it seems the title is all anyone reads. I test things frequently too, I just play BG's much MUCH more frequently. Any solution that makes my mailbox usable again would be welcome.
