Texture update for old clothing and armor styles?

I applaud the devs for the decision to improve graphics of the environment for the zones that were there during launch and are, compared to later relases, now clearly outdated.

Unfortunately some of the clothing and armor style textures and even sometimes the 3d model themselves that are there since ESO at release are very much outdated. Is there a plan to touch them up too?

Mostly, I want the diaper butt on the Timbercrow Wanderer Costume fixed. Such an expensive (in blood or treasure) and otherwise beautiful costume gathering dust. Please fix.

The old base game furnishings need to be updated to high res too. No change in design needed.

In the past, players have espoused a desire to NOT see their motifs/armor/clothing change from the base game. I can understand that. ZOS had updated some of the old stuff, but they took some artistic liberty with the updates. That was the part from what I can gather that folks did not like.

I think if we were to see the old stuff simply updated to higher resolution (simply in concept, not necessary execution), that folks for the MOST part would be cool witih it.

I'd love to see the old motifs/textures for characters updated. Right now, I only choose newer stuff to put on my characters becasue some of the old stuff just looks too dated and I have yet to find an example that outshines a newer higher resolution set.

Will we see it? Hopefully so, but probably not.

why can't they use AI to upscale the older textures?

More if worn on an khajiit it looks like you shaven your but. Not much of an problem on nords and bosmers as the diapter matches the skin tone if not wearing skins.

Yes lots of the altmer furniture has hilarious small textures and wood textures with 5 cm between the growth rings.
I assumes its the first they made and not sure about performance. AD zone quests tend to be better on the other hand with lots of world changes.

Texture updates would be fine I say if done well. Most of the early Skyrim texture update mods I say l looks worse as they missed details like how a wall looked different near the ground

Yeah, this is an issue I see in many different games when they are ongoing and thus will have outdated art/textures.

Most people are fine with old assets getting higher resolution textures, but too many times the developers don't just stop there, but they will actually change things, to the point sometimes that the item no longer looks like the original.

One of the things I would be afraid of, if they changed the textures, is that dyes would no longer work the same way. IE, a texture that looks matte will become shiny, or textures that were once shiny now look like leather.

Just upscaling the textures would be great, but adding more details or changing how the texture will reflect dyes isn't.

While a lot of old furnishing do look very outdated, changing the textures can lead to situations when some builds will be ruined. Especially when a piece of furniture is not used for its intended purposes (like in cobbles or for patching holes and crevices in terrain).

In actuality the "3D models" of the base game styles you're talking about are just 2D textures painted onto the player model. ZOS didn't start making legit 3D models for armor until I think we'll into the Chapters era.

As much as I would love a revisit, which they actually started to do with those "Ancient" styles you can find thru Antiquities, they stopped adding more, and they also claimed all Art on the Live server is final.
