one of the house mods from skyrim allowed you to add books you collected to it and it sorts them on the bookcase. I love that idea, can we get something like that for ESO? Grand style bookcase that you can choose which of the collected lorebooks and stuff to fill it with. Perhaps even knicknacks collected in the travels like those mini statues or the various orbs...etc. something that can fit on the shelf.

    I really like this idea.

I recently placed a lot of books I had taking up space in my bank into some bookcases and it was very time consuming getting them placed just right. Being able to add them to a bookcase and have it sort them would be awesome.

Please yes. So many furnishing slots taken up by trying to put books on bookshelves. Also, a functioning library seems fun.

I'll add my vote for this. very useful, particularly if the bookcase would count as one container regardless of book count.

Could even have a UI like the Grand Master tables showing completion / area.

Given books tend to have a smaller number of individual books (small stack sizers), but vast number of unique much better to put these in a dedicated book case furnishing rather than waste slots in the furnishing vault with small stacks.

    I'd love this.

Honestly I'd settle for more large bookcases with shelves tall enough to fit the books (the vast majority are not), and where the books don't get stuck inside the shelves and become impossible to target. But I suspect it might actually be easier for ZOS to make a Skyrim style bookcase container than to get them working as seperate objects.

I've had that problem for a long time, not just with bookcases but with any items I've placed on or in other items, such as candles, etc.. I used to have to go to the retrieve tab to find the item and select it that way to adjust it.

Then I found out that I can just use the tab key and it will target and highlight nearby items, even those stuck in bookcases, so I can adjust them. I don't know if it was always like that or if it was added later but it now saves me a lot of frustration.

I would welcome this type of furnishing.

Edited to also say I have been thinking about this and other types of furniture could also be included like kitchen shelves.

    Solid idea.

There has to be a way to place small items and somehow consolidate them/combine them to reduce the poly count so that more can be rendered at the same poly cost.
