ASSASSIN is op but nightblade seems not (PVE)

After 2 weeks testing assassin skill line seems the bis for dps builds no matter regular swap , ha or ha one bar builds, but seems ppl unwilling to pick up nightblades as base class. I watched many parce videos none of these players use nb as base. I asked this question to some of them ,but sadly get no answer back.
So is there really a big difference bewteen picking nb vs other class in PVE?

nb only better than stam warden some,
they are weakest pve dps class this 3 year
now pts give nb many buff so Assassination be bis,but nb still have other 2 weak skill line in pve

One big reason that I can think of is how class scripts for scribing skills (and technically IA class sets) work.

The only class script that is available for a character is the one specifically for the base class of that character.

For PvE, that means it's still best to make an Arcanist as the base class and sub in the assassination skill line due to being able to use banner bearer with the Arcanist class script which passively generates crux every few seconds. This lessens the need for slotting additional crux generating skills that generate crux for beam.
