I may get some flack for continually posting this but again I am asking again for ZOS to give us a quest that will restore Bleacrock Isle. I know it may not be lore friendly but Bleakrock was my first encounter with ESOL and I would love to be able to make it the peaceful town it was at the beginning of my journey years ago. I would love a small house near the wayshrine and would love to spend some time just walking around the town again without all the burning. Zos again please at least tell us if this is ever going to be possible or not.....thanks again

No point (read: money, profit) in doing that, sadly. Likewise, Norg Tzel - why not do SOMETHING about it, instead of keeping it for literally YEARS.

And you know what? I too would love ZOS to do that. But they won't.

Drammanoth...sadly you are probably correct. They will never do it but i sure wish ZOS would at least care enough to respond!

I've always thought events like this in all games should spawn dailies that allow you to get materials or do other things that allow it to rebuild and push the enemies out.

If enough people don't keep doing the quests then it could spawn some type of invasion again where you will see the town / zone whatever taken over again.

This is one quest I just skip or abandoned after the first few times.

Wolfie...I did the same...after my main did it....I have never done the quest again. I go back every now and then with one of my other characters and it is so nice to chat with the vendors.....banker etc. I just want to some day restore it on my main and enjoy it again.
ps...thanks everyone for responding and sharing.
pss....ZOS....please at least answer if this is even an option!!!!!

I get that in an emotional sense why this is wanted, but from a gameplay perspective I love that it is full of enemies.
Everything in the town is still marked as steal-able, but with no guards or witnesses. Daily endeavor is to steal 10 things from the environment? Fence 10 things? Bleakrock is the place to do it with zero chance of bounty.
AND as an added bonus, a great place to level up ledgermain.

So I do understand from an emotional/faction pride standpoint on continuing the narrative and reclaiming the island. (But in lore do the Nords ever take it back?)
But for me it’s great the way it is.

Zos could take inspiration of ff14 and their ishgard restoration event?

Following the peace talk in high isle, bleakrock could be given back to the pact. Complete daily quest to collect mats for the buildings. It could also be use for an eventual solsteim storyline. Build a foward base for an expedition to the island or something

I can see @BlueRaven's point, and I even agree with it.

Still, doesn't the Lore have oh, idk, Akatosh, the God of Time? Though I suppose I'd go to good old Hermie for time travel.

In WoW there is the possibility to return to the pre-expansion version of a land. Can't ESO have the same?
To answer my own question: no. Even if it could, it would not be profitable. For ZOS. Better to make another recolor of mounts, eh? :(

No one know. As far as i know, bleakrock didnt exist prior to eso and if it did it will likely have been obliterated durring the red year seeing the state of southern Solsteim. So yeah lore is waiting to be created for the next 900 years or so of elder scrolls lore

A "restoration event" where they completely revamp a zone, add houses as requested, etc, doesn't sound like something that would ever happen unless it became a part of a full DLC, it would need to be financially sound.

Its a lot of work to rework a zone, especially if done as part of a story-line, just to add a house a few people want, especially since there are a "few people" who want a thousand different things, they cant please them all.

As soon as they split effort into giving these requested things, and don't focus elsewhere, others will complain about that. They need to choose where to put their efforts.

Or spend some of those millions hiring a few more people, but i don't know the behind the scenes stuff.

This thred is now 2 years old. Still no response from ZOS. sad really. They could at least log on and simply say NO. The only response this thread will get from them is "this thread is over two years old so we are closing it and a new one can be started". Guess there is simply no money in it for them. Enjoy the summer everyone!

IMO missed opportunity that they didn't implement this at the same time that they 'refreshed' the starter zones.

11 years later and Bleakrock is still in enemy hands, smh my head.

I love Bleakrock Isle. It would be super cool to do a quest to restore the zone and even have a 200/400 or 300/600 slot house to buy there.

All of the starter-zones have this problem of stuck in time and a in progress invasion. Wish they could resync and have a bit more in sync with the story. Every zone is so dis-jointed.

Why not let us make a personal House out of the entire island? or something like build a settlement quest which combines the house building system with the ability to get in new npcs to make your own town?

Big Box ideas man, i can see a entire DLC based on the concept if done right, not just bleakrock too!
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

Tbh I just want Bleakrock to get a player house. It’s the only one of the original zones not to have one.

I've said it before (years ago), and I'll say it again: I'd love it if there was a DLC/content update all about rebuilding Tamriel, where you're on a mission to rebuild various war-ravaged settlements around Tamriel. I was thinking just the base game zones so there wouldn't be any weird conflicts with owning or not owning DLCs for other zones.

You'd have to do things like find ways to defeat/drive off or negotiate whatever forces are currently occupying the settlement (maybe for Bleakrock there could be a quest where you capture the invasion force's ship offshore and use it to cut off their supply lines and force them to surrender and withdraw), and then there could be a couple of quest givers in the settlement handing out dailies to do around the zone. Each time you do one of the dailies for the first time, a bit more of the settlement is rebuilt, and when you've done all of them at least once it's fully rebuilt (as in: if there are 2 quest givers and each has 6 different daily quests in their rotation, you'd have to do all 12 different quests to fully rebuild it). There could also be a mechanic where after the settlement is fully rebuilt you can make it more prosperous by doing more of the dailies. When you hit certain achievement milestones for completing daily quests (like after completing 15, and again after 30) the town gets a few more citizens and the rewards for the dailies increase somewhat (obviously there would be a maximum level that they'd increase to).

Of course, the problem with doing a DLC like that is that it's something that will only really appeal to people who have already completed the base game quests. You could make it so that the dailies for rebuilding the settlements give out some nice rewards that will appeal to a lot of people (motifs, furnishing plans, crafting mats, antiquity leads, etc.), but then people who just want those rewards will complain that they have to do the precursor quests first where those settlements get ravaged, and then reclaim and rebuild them. You'd also have to have it so that the area looks completely different for different people on different stages, and you might not be able to do it in a way that will have people on different stages actually be able to see each other when they're in the area. There was a lot of that in the early days of ESO, and ZOS has moved away from it for good reason. I still like the idea.

I actually like this idea. It would be great if expanded upon in all older zones. Some nice towns that never had a "saving' quest have been taken over by orcs and need liberated, or some bad towns need saving. Even a few just out of the way quests here and there.

It would give me a reason to start a new toon and work my way through the old zones once again.

Folks....thanks for your posts. Shame ZOS sees no need to respond. I would have never started the quest had i known the outcome! I wish i had known about this forum earlier because there was probably a thread about how the quest would end which would have prevented me from doing it.

It would be quite alright from a lore perspective if it's done as an epilogue to the Pact story. after you've done all the zones and probably the Earth Turner family questline too.

They could also just return the island to previous state as soon as you finish bleackrock evacuation questline or at least after finishing stonefalls quests as it is not important for story anymore and neither do the houses burn forever nor do the daggerfall forces stay there except for garrison(which should soon fall after stonefalls is defended) when fleet is attacking stonefalls next. Other areas are also restored after quest is over. Bleackrock was good crafting area but is now only zone without a town.

Nothing has changed about this topic but ZoS will probably still close the thread without answering.

Iridius....thanks for your comments and insight. You are spot on...and also spot on in that ZOS will probably not respond and will close the thread or let the post slowly fade down the page list on the forum to be forgotten. Yet they will continue to tell us how much they value our input. Enough said. Thanks again.

I also would really love to rebuild Bleakrock. It was a cool little area. I think it could be a cool choice for a community event if the wall thing goes well.
