Skills failing to cast at high rates

Is anybody else noticing ghost casts? Pretty much every skill on my bar is not registering the cast, which makes at least parsing for testing purposes impossible at the moment.

    Yes, i'm not sure if it's because of the popularity of the test or because of the animation bugs/changes?

    Yes a lot of targeted skills are not working.

    PTS server bad enough most the time but when it does register a key press it doesn't go off anyway. Lovely.

    Needs to be fixed ASAP if thats the case. That can't touch the live server.

    Further testing - Major_Toughness already said so but virtually every target-based skill in the game seems to have a chance of failing. Some of them even a pretty high chance. Side note solar barrage is stacking indefinitely and that's ruining my tests too.

    Every single person I dueled was having these issues, myself included. Skills just not working a good 25% of the time, and not working full stop in certain scenarios. For example, the classic "Incap -> Merciless resolve" combo seems to not work full stop - every time I try to fire the bow proc immediately after the incap, I hear the audio queue and the skill just fails to fire.

    Feels completely awful.

    Animation overhaul as mentioned in the patch notes, maybe? It said they were streamlining all ability animations or something.

    I can confirm this as well. Did about 10-20 parses on a few different setups. Single target skills are the main issues.

    It's almost like....there are consequences to just introducing 100,000 more combinations of skills and passives ;)

    i am glad i'm not the only one. the highest parse i was able to do was 108 which is pitiful compared to my normal 120+

    My single target damage skills were almost constantly grayed out (95% of the time) fighting monsters in Imperial City. I couldn't fire Blighted Blastbones or Daedric Prey, no matter how I angled the camera and when I had enemies in and near my reticle.

    This is the most worrying thing, I wonder if they will able to completely sort everything before it hits live, because not even the most awesome skill bar combo can make up for problems with casting skills.

    Extra stuff to add - sometimes animation plays, but the skill did not fire. I can see Potl sword closing on a dummy, but my skill duration counter shows zero and then I recast it for real. Invalid sword still plays. This is extra annoying on NB, because you play the spec bow animation, arrow flies and plays impact sound, but stack counter go up and there is no hit registered.

    I mostly pvp in bgs and it's happening all the time there. Sometimes you might even get the skill animation with no skill actually procing.

    This is severely hampering combat. Some additional info from today's testing;

    Bash weaving and block weaving cause this to happen at an extremely high rate. I was seeing more than 50% of my casts fail to fire when I would bash weave them (Light attack -> skill -> bash), and seeing similar failure rates when block weaving/cancelling (Light attack -> skill -> block). It isn't just when doing these things either, skills seem to just be failing to fire randomly.

    I've never seen anything like this, this is by far the most combat-destroying issue I've ever seen on the PTS or live server in the history of the game. Really hope to see this acknowledged during week one, as if it goes live there is no point whatsoever in playing for a player like me.

    Edit: Just want to add, if this is a result of some sort of animation change, you have to roll this back. It will cripple the combat completely.

    Chiming in to say I'm experiencing skill misfires nearly 25% of the time as well. It's at the point where I can't even test combos or rotations because despite the animation playing, the skills are simply failing to fire.

    That was my hunch to be honest... they shadow changed animation... but i don't know that. I hope this is the case and, if so, they roll it back quickly. It's terrible. Also, more.desyncs lately too. Not sure if it's related.

    Watch the video below. I included an input overlay so you can see that I'm pressing the skill. I do a Light attack -> skill -> bash every single time, 13 times in a row. Of those 13 weaves, concealed weapon failed to fire 8 times.

    My keyboard friends tell me they're experiencing the exact same issue, so this isn't a controller-specific problem.

    Why haven't we gotten any acknowledgement that this is be9ng looked at? It's still happening on live a lot.

    It's happening in pve, cyro and bgs for me. I

    hit polar and the polar animation happens but no heal. Or it doesn't animate at all when I hit it three times.
