So instead of changing fatecarver to not benefit from grave lord's sacrifice, or nerfing the skill itself etc you nerf the least problematic skill out of the 175k beam arcanist parses??? I can't see arcanist nerfs in the patch note so this has to be a joke, right?

It’s the 2nd week usually we don’t expect any balance changes at all. We’ll have have to wait a week and see then

Unfortunately that does not stop them from nerfing other classes, like only one good wardens heal.

They looked at Grim Focus but didn't change the double spectral bow in PvP, that's gonna be a problem.

Looks like Daedric Summoning got walked back to only a single middle finger rather than a double, no?

Assassination with its excessive crit and massive WD shows up in all 170k+ parses (so far I’ve seen storm calling / herald of the tome / assasination, animal companion / assasination / herald of the tome, grave lord / assassination / herald of the tome at >170k, the beaming one being the lowest among them). Beam and GLS only show up in one such combination. The large outlier is really assasination, not grave lord, with its massive crit and weapon damage buff plus very strong proc if you decide to use it.
And in herald of the tome: the big reason to take it is the unique damage taken buff in an environment where you’re already high on weapon damage, stamina, crit, crit damage, and damage done. Beam is a secondary thing that pairs well with grave lord, but is not a must have.

So yes, tuning down assasination a notch is really needed to limit the power creep. It will probably need a bit more tuning down the buff to get builds into the <160k range. But this is a step in the right direction.

Because crit chance is best thing in parse and Pve endgame...pen and crit dmg alway full
And Zos nerfed daggers/thief/rele crit ,so it more important now

whats wrong with people defending strongest skill in the game and calling for nerfs for the most underused skill they ever released?

If anything GLS needs complete rework, and double bow thing shouldnt ever seen a light of day. 10 stacks of merciless isnt that problematic thought, bigesst problem is the ability to store two specbows for insane burst.

Specbow needs either a cooldown, or drain all of the stacks on cast. Maybe increase damage and healing slightly for each stack over five, double shot is the thing most people upset about.

What's wrong about changing skill that's only purpose is to buff fatecarver as it's useless and not effective outside of this? Strongest skill in the game is deep fissure pvp wise and fatecarver pve wise, bow is mid in both aspects, good single target damage skill in pve where single target damage is not needed and good pressure tool in pvp that can't be used in a burst combos against decent players(basically a tool to kill noobs at this point since it's a projectile and isn't guaranteed to hit after incap or even soul tether with a higher stun delay)

Your point is just wrong, there will be no reason to use builds without beam if this goes live, best single target setups deal the same damage as full aoe beam setup, just 2-3k more with some setups... Arcanist isn't the problem, beam is, it should be nerfed into the ground if people don't want to turn pve into the most boring thing in eso, just buff tentacular dread and maybe spammable to compensate it, arcanist is already viable without beam even without multiclass(needs some minor buffs tho)

They only nerfed the cross-healing part, self-healing actually was buffed.
It will exclusively affect group pvp where cross-healing nerfs are quite warranted.

Don't you point out that there is a "herald of the tome" for everything?
Do count how many Alcanist skills are being used.
