Thank you Zos for keeping heavy attack builds in mind with the new mythic!! So many of my friends love the heavy attack builds, and with the mythic and class hybridization, they can finally compete for endgame content ❤️

Hi, I'm planning to go to PTS at the end of the week and I'm interested in HA.
Do you have any build/combinations you would recommend me to try?

On top of that, subclassing lets any class get access to better Empower without Oakensoul:

Molten Armaments from Earthen Heart (30 seconds)
Solar Barrage from Dawn's Wrath (20 seconds, adds more damage)

As well as switching into a better DPS line that buffs crits or has strong abilities, like Assassination.

I don't think subclassing has helped heavy attack or one-bar builds compete with regular DPS builds as far as I'm aware, but so far it overall gives them more power and more build options compared to Live.

The Mythic also solves the age old balance problem that held heavy attack builds back in the first place, infinite sustain. It's a brilliant option for those that like the playstyle, but don't want to kneecap themselves with Oakensoul which is still great, but for different reasons. It's a good all around, offense + defense + low ceiling, high floor option.

Also while the mythic is exceptional for heavy attack builds, I can't forsee it surpassing a higher APM playstyle with light attack weaving and a more complex rotation, but it's probably closer than ever. Meaning the masses won't instantly switch to heavy attack builds like the days of Morrowind, yet the gap for enthusiasts will be much tighter without breaking the game like the OG Oakensoul did on release.

I will be trying out Sorcerer/Nightblade/Arcanist with Sergeant's and Highland Conquerer for parsing myself
