Probably at least 200, but it likely won't be possible to know in the short time we have with PTS.-How high do these envelopes stack? Hopefully atleast 1000.
Same as now. You get an envelope as a reward from daily writs, and at the moment you open the envelope, a master writ is randomly generated. It works the same way now, except you get the master writ directly from the daily writ reward box. Only difference now is the envelope stage in between, which is what is allowing us to stack.-What happens to master writs for which I do not know the motifs?
You don't get to pick and choose, and envelopes are identical until you open them and "create" a master writ. They exist purely so we can stack them and take up less space.-Can I only open the top envelope, or do I get a list with which master writ to pick from? To make sure I can complete them before taking them out.
No. This isn't like opening an event coffer where you get to peek inside and decide what to take. You activate an envelope, it immediately turns into a random master writ of the same type (e.g. blacksmithing). Once opened, there's no going back to an envelope.-Can I reseal these master writs in an envelope after taking it out of the envelope? Mostly in relation to resealing unknown motifs master writs.

Presumably the envelopes cannot be traded, and you would need to open them and generate a master writ in order to give or sell it to another player. As of right now the envelopes cannot be banked either, but I am hoping that is an accidental oversight.
Kind of agree, but it still helps for saving them up between the double exp events. We just have to keep up with the new motifs some more, maybe ZOS can make the newest motifs somewhat easier to obtain. So the ones we can't do because we don't have the style yet will still clutter our inventory? Then the function is completely useless for me.

PS: I have all motifs completed on my crafter, except for the 5-6 latest ones.
Luckily as I have most motives, I only have about 40-50 master writs which I am unable to complete. Out of the 800+ I normally complete during the double exp events. Maybe ZOS can come up with a solution for your issue also.Kind of agree, but it still helps for saving them up between the double exp events. That's probably the best way to do it, but I'm not sure if most players are that diligent? I don't deliberately farm for (or buy) style pages, I just get them through normal gameplay and especially through anniversary event boxes (right now I get 2-3 new style pages for my main, who's also my main crafter, per day). And when I get a master writ I either do it immediately (or if I don't have time right now, I'd keep it in my inventory, but not for long), or if I don't know the style, I put it to the side (and then check the old ones on whether I can do them now once after every anniversary). The things cluttering my bank/boxes/inventory were always the writs I can't do because I don't know the style yet. And without being able to see the writs before unpacking them from the envelope, I'll be in the very same situation again.

Like, if Char A gets a blacksmith writ, it goes into the envelope.
Chat B gets a blacksmith writ, it goes into the envelope, and if you log back into Char A you can see the one B got in the envelope?
Too logical, but worth checking.
Anyone else having the same issue? I am unable to deposit the new master writ envelopes (e.g. "Unknown Clothier Writ") into my personal bank. I get the message in the corner of the screen telling me I can't do that. I would hope this isn't the intended behavior
The envelopes are just simple containers, and each envelope has only one master writ inside of it. The envelopes then stack, and thus we need to be able to put them in our bank in order to share them among characters without opening them first (which turns them into a master writ, and you cannot "put back" the writ into the envelope).Like, if Char A gets a blacksmith writ, it goes into the envelope.
