So, the Innate Axiom armor set is supposed to buff your class abilities by 400 weapon/spell damage. I was wondering if I had at least two classes through Subclassing- would Innate Axiom buff each class? Here's a quick test:
I can see, however, that it does seem to wildly effect some abilities. For instance, on my DK I tested:
Molten Whip (8102 dmg unbuffed) and Mage's Wrath (3039 target, 11139 explosion dmg unbuffed) and then took off my Innate Axiom gloves. This dropped it to:
Molten Whip (7594 dmg unbuffed) and Mage's Wrath (2847 target, 10441 explosion dmg unbuffed).
So there is over 400 dmg difference for Molten Whip (which was expected) but there was only a 200 dmg difference for the initial damage of Mage's Wrath... but still over 400 dmg difference on the explosion!
So, it appears that there is a significant difference on SOME abilities (or different damages within abilities). I'm guessing it depends if the ability scales with Weapon/Spell damage- then you'll see a change. If the ability is based on resources (mag/stam/health)- then you won't see a change.
So, perhaps if a skill isn't necessarily based on weapon/spell damage... but a component of the skill is... then you might see Innate Axiom reflected on that certain component.
Has anyone else tested Innate Axiom with subclassing?
