Relentless Focus provides way too much benefits

It is a clear winner for subclassing, its simply too many benefits to not use it for damage in any kind of builds, short of maybe HA.
No matter if you use raw stat build or proc set damage, 600 weapon and spell damage is hard to pass, one skill provides bonus comparable to 5-piece without any drawbacks and have infinite duration that won't fall out of combat. Not to mention in a skill line that also gives you free crit, powerful spammables and executes.

Personally I would nuke that bonus from orbit and make it not increase past 5 stacks or even move it to siphoning.

Thoughts?

Just revert the change already. It's insane to me that one of the strongest abilities in the game (if not the strongest) took a buff this patch.

It's ridiculous in just about every way for PvP. They tried to do something similar for bound arms but the difference is bound arms doesn't give you a huge amount of power just for having it fully chambered on your bar...why not ZOS? We can't fall back on "Sorcs don't need it" anymore. A single proc of Grim Focus was already devastating if it landed, now with Subclassing there are so many ways to guarantee that both barrels of this shotgun will land.

This isn't a NB problem, it's about to be an every build problem

The updated skill will be awesome for buoying up my unoptimized novelty builds!

...Yeah, it's a little too much. Should probably be toned down at least, if not reverted. (But keep the fix to the glowing weapons, whatever you do!)

Why does nightblade always have the biggest buffs every major patch??? Even the “nerfs” are we changed this 10% to a different 10%.

that won't fall out of combat

This part isn't true, last patch Relentless Focus was changed to behave like Merciless where the stacks do fall off out of combat. That said, the still absolutely didn't need a buff, the patch note there was absolutely wild.

More buffing of NB, wonder why?

Merciless resolve is insanely, irrationally over powered; hardest hitting skill in the game, more than almost any ultimate; minimal cost, PLUS now 600 (!!!! Are you kidding me??) extra WD, PLUS 41 meter range (!!!! Are you kidding me?.) PLUS half the damage as a heal.PLUS now you can shoot two bows in a row? SMH

It should give no heal, no extra WD, and be melee range only. Plus its damage should be reduced 50%. It would STILL be strong.

BUT I predict it will NEVER be touched…wonder why?
3 GOs, a Warlord, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP

Bingo. You could say it is finally "balanced" because every class can use it, but that it putting lipstick on a pig.

Ah yes, you're correct, I forgot that was a Battlespirit specific change.
Merciless Resolve (morph): Fixed an issue where this morph's stacks would not clear after leaving combat while Battle Spirit was active.
