To be fair, my reasoning is a bit stupid. I started DK because, coming from Skyrim, I thought I would be some sort of Dragonborn character... I played for over 1,000 hours with my character, and every passing hour made it more difficult to start over from an RP perspective.

Then I found out that I wanted to be a healer, mainly in PvP, which is the direct opposite of a DK. Finally I can choose templar skills without changing my character and breaking my immersion by going over the same quests all over again.

And from a PvE perspective, I was pretty bored with the same skillset, now my interest in doing overland is kinda rekindled.

Depends on how compatible it is with the armoury system if it works like with vampire/werewolf were you can save and go back I will experiment a lot more.

On my DK at the moment will probably swap out Earthen heart for Siphoning, possibly Draconic Power for Restoring Light both have quite a few skills that play well into the close range speciality of Ardent Flames skills and really like the sustain/healing Leeching strikes provides.

My Pet Sorc will swap Dark Magic for Shadow(the shade feels a better fit with that set that gives you those 6 crows), Storm Calling for Animal Companions for the bear, will use the slate skin. Also wears the set with the magic floating sword and the monster helm that spawns a daedroth.

My NB, thinking of swapping out Shadow for Bone Tyrant, going to build for a high health, high ultimate generation build, though on the fence about giving up the major prophecy.

The other classes still on the fence about what I want to do with them.

....allows you to swap some of your Class skill lines for skill lines of other Classes.

...I'm anxious about this new feature as a 10 years player from 2014.

    "Did you test it enough?"

Just consider, dev team have been doing nerf and buff against each of class so many times.
    (Especially sorc)

If dev team really regard class skill swapping system as a "good idea",
then they should remove meta rule from gear and contents before those changing.

I have "negative impression" against this new feature. Because dev team still keep clinging
old character building based game design. I don't feel necessity of this idea as a fundamental
    "game flaw fixer".

I have positive impression against current direction of ESO PVE group contents.
(Latest new Dungeon and Trial game design [2023-2025] ) Because it has a plenty of diversity
and environment game design feature. Not like target dummy practice anymore.
(I hate Cloudrest) There're many type of player, and have specific role each of player.
So I felt current group contents going good way though...

Do we really want to mix every class just like stirring the liquid which doesn't have uniformed density?

As soon as this launches (and it will launch...you think an idea like this makes it to the PTS just to be reversed?), not a single one of these "stick to my original skills" votes will seriously not try some stuff. Everyone will. If for no other reason than to see their toon do something brand spanking new after a decade.
Those votes are some weird misguided form of brand loyalty. It's a game, not your religion and they'll all try anything new.

I cannot decide lol. I like to make builds that combine a particular RP theme and also genuine gameplay effectiveness. So, I got a LOT of theorycrafting to do. Need to find a cool theme that can do the amount of DPS I usually require of my builds.
Struggling to find a new class to call home. Please send help.

Hmm... I'm not sure. It will depend on the balance changes that will be on the PTS (I'm guessing there will be quite a few of them), but if things don't change too much I'm interested in trying a couple of things first:
    • The Necromancer's Grave Lord Skill Line would be nice for both my Templars and Arcanist, seeing as Rapid Rot buffs DOTs by 10% and GLS buffs both DOTs and Class Abilities by 15% at the moment.
    • Similarly, the Templar's Dawn's Wrath Skill Line seems good for my Arcanist as well, just for Radiant Destruction (and maybe Solar Barrage's 5% buff to Class Abilities)
    • If Daedric Prey would buff all pets, including Blastbones and the Warden's bear, adding the Sorcerer's Daedric Summoning skill line to my Wardens and Necromancers sounds fun (and a bit OP).

Seeing as I generally play solo PvE, however, I've mostly been trying to think of ways to add nice skills for soloing to my characters that lack them such as the Sorcerer's Critical Surge or Hardened Ward, Templar's Puncturing Sweep or Radiant Glory, and the Nightblade's Shadowy Disguise or Siphoning Attacks and Swallow Soul.

    Templar [ Aedric Spear | Dawn's Wrath | Restoring Light ]
I know that my DK will be picking up the spear line, not originally making then a Templar has been my biggest in game regret and I just haven't had it in me to commit to a separate templar despite trying to, so they can finally jab away like I've always wanted

Outside of that? I'm trying to get a third character up and running, I leveled up the 5 other classes with master writs in prep of this announcement, and I'll see how things shape up in PTS to pick 1 to commit to. I'm picking between sorc with dumping the awful pets or maybe potentially I could find Necro playable once again or just min maxing a PvE healer as I got the other 2 roles filled by DK and Arc

So while I would prefer the simple solution of a class change token I am still very excited about what I'll get out of this
