Sucks they are locked behind crowncrates. I would of bought a lot of it across 3 accounts in my household if I could of bought them for crowns.

But here we are. Anyway, really good job on all the items. Must have a new art director.
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

A lot of people are feeling the same way, especially about the personality. It also doesn't help any that they threw craftable items in there also as gem fodder

While I’m happy for those of you for whom these somewhat camp personalities and so on are appealing, it’s disappointing to me that most of these cosmetics tend to be so over-the-top.

    Agree with OP.

I see several things I'd like - most for 8000 seals of endeavor each (I have about 6000 seals). So I bought a nice hairstyle for 2000 seals and I think that will be it. Would have readily bought several of the pricier things for crowns though, so a missed profit opportunity I'd say.

I will happily spend crowns if I can get exactly what I want. I will not, however, spend real money to buy 'mystery boxes' with no assurance that l will get what I want.

I would also prefer to just straight up buy items directly with crowns, but that would loose ZOS revenue so...

Because I wanted a LOT of items from these crown crates I was happy to spend 5000 crowns on a 15 crate purchase and I was not disappointed (but that is only because I wanted so many items from these crates that it would have been difficult not to have come away with some good items all in all).

All in all the cool items I got were the feather costume, the dawnwood skin, the blackwood carnival body and face markings, the hairstyle, and the rattlers (maracas). Trash items I got were three non-combat pets, the horse mount, and some garish furnishings that I could extract gems from. The gem extractions easily gave me enough to buy the fan dance emote, and I plan on getting the carnival dance with seals later next month.

Sadly I didn't get the personality but there is always next time (if I can ever hold onto 8k seals for long enough). I still have 60 gems left over from duplicates. I might get the griffon non-combat pet, not sure yet.

But I love pretty much all the items I got so I guess it all depends on how many of the items in the Crown Crates you want. If it's a LOT, then it's worth buying a pack imho, if it's not a lot, then don't bother.

Agreed. The dances are to "Earthy" for me. The colors are over the top vibrant and feel completely out of place in Tamriel, where colors lean towards the muted.

The entire carneval crown crate just feels out of place. The Gargoyle mount would be infinitely cooler if it did not have those 2D red wings. They completely destroy the look of the mount.

The Polymorph is the coolest thing of the set (and the crocodile) but its not worth 70-80 dollars to me.

There are some REALLY unique items in the Carnival collection. OMG what a selection. A true Barbie Girl's closet full of desires!

I have 19k endeavors .... really thinking about that Guar, the cutest guar on the planet! But I only use equines. The Indrink is really nice too. If this was an equine I would get it.

I don't believe in buying crown crates because you just end up with useless junk. I don't like the gambling aspect. In the past I have sold many crown crates to players, like 25 at a time and have never seen even ONE that was really happy. All ended up with post purchase dissonance.

I love the carnaval Celebrant, the Alluring Eyes, the earrings, the new hair style, the dress, the head dress, the staff, the shield, even that lizard outfit. Wouldn't think twice about dropping crowns on all of it but afraid some killer equine might come out and I want to save my 19k endeavors.

But what a DREAM collection. Well done indeed!

A lot of people use reshade to change from the depressing base tones on the game. You only need to make some slight changes to make it into a totally different experience. Should be i
    base game options imo.

if you use reshades or filter to change the tones in game, these items will change along with it so they still are out of place. It's also not just a matter of colour.

Many people may have the same opinion as you and that's great there is a diverse opinion range here without being downvoted into oblivion. Just like you may agree with the crown crates system as a whole, but I don't. I'd rather know how much I'm going to pay for an item, there is enough random loot boxes then have to pay for the privledge. Heck, set a ap/gold/crown price for gems.

I like the items, just like many other people and many other just don't. I think some of the radiant mounts go too far and others love them. I think any proc set shouldnt scale at all, block cost reduction should be hard capped and all shields should be exclusively linked to HP. A lot of people would disagree with that, but after vengence campaign, people enjoyed when that stuff was out of the game.

Anyway, I want to buy these items with crowns. Even if it is offered as single day event at the end of the crown box cycle.

Anybody knows until when those carnival items will stay available?

Clarification re: seals of endeavour vs crowns, since I've seen some people confused about it in this topic.

    The two are effectively seperate.

Seals of endeavour are basically the same as gems but earned in-game instead of from crates. They can be used to buy all the items in the currently available crates and the gem exclusives, but nothing else. If an item is sold for crowns it cannot be bought using seals.

Crowns are used to buy things in the other crown store sections. They cannot be used to buy crate items.

So if someone wants to buy something that costs crowns having seals doesn't help them (unless that item is later re-released in the crown crate, which doesn't happen often and could be months or years away). Likewise if someone wants something from a crate they cannot get it using their crowns, and using seals may be unhelpful because it takes weeks to get enough to buy something and months for the higher tier items like mounts and personalities.

Exactly, if i just do weekly endeavor and say 3 daily 3 times a week. That's only 370 and we're talking 20+ weeks for an 8k item. If you did them all every day every week. Sure it's 3+ weeks. Not everyone has that time.

Just I can use non gambling direct exchange in form of crowns. Which I'm happy to buy if they aren't even on sale. Even if it was limited to 1 day at the end of a crate cycle.
