Bunny hop/massive shield/heal in 1 sec after getting them to 5% hp, back to full health. This is the most OP class in the history of the game, compared with the state of other classes. Half the pvpers play sorc for a reason. Maybe one way is for penetration vastly increase shield damage (shield pen). Maybe bigger streak penalties, on par with nb stealth nerf(s).

Some combination of sets in game is really skewing it also. I have a feeling class changes are going to be less and less.

Last of all, sorc is just boring at this point, too easy unless against other sorcs.

My two cents

None of them want to engage in fights either, ever, lol. It’s always just Shield>Streak Away>Shield>Streak Away. I don’t even bother with them anymore

Is Sorcerer class on ZOS' radar? They have been nigh unkillable in PVP unless you bring an army. Are you able to communicate any semblance of future plans for this class?

Shield just shouldn't have a flat heal on it.....you'd think they would have learned this back in summerset with healing ward. They gutted that so much so that nobody uses it now. Only a matter of time till hardened is gone from sorc I bet.

Before healing ward only gave you the heal at the end of its life. So a skilled user would have to properly layer shields to protect the healing ward in order to get a heal. Shields are first in first out and this was actual skill based play.....now its just spam with a guaranteed better result. When they changed this back in the summerset era to more of a guaranteed heal it became abhorrently abused. I remember at one point I had magsorc friends stacking 4 shields ontop to cover their healing ward.

Appart of sorc balance that the class needs in term of healing or damage, I want to add to this post also the absurd way to play Warden in PvP with more than 40k health spamming healing abilities and being super difficult to chase and take down.

Ive been watching groups with 3-4 warden healers with that many health and trust me, you must be a ballgroup if you want to take them, if they are around with some enemy randoms your keep is done because there are not a real counterplay to that.

That said, people can argue "It is because there are a lot of nb and sorc dealing massive damage so you need to be really tanky" but man, you and me know that they will be playing that broken playstyle even without sorcs and nb, delete that sick health based heal and make it heal only the caster not the caster and another player. At least sorc and nb have the biggest learning curve between all classes in order to be successful with the class and not press only 1 ability and lets go, job done.

If you think about the effect that shields plus heals have it's pretty strong. 12k shield is effectively extending your health bar by 12k. Whatever heal you get, lets say 4k, fills it. In other words, it's like getting more than a 16k heal at the psub of a button. It takes you further out of execute range than just a heal alone, as the heal caps at max health. A shield does not.

Right this was the main reason people didnt like shields back in the day. On shield only builds you COULDN'T get out of execute range and got stuck in a sinking ship anytime you were in execute range. Granted executes used to be much stronger back in the day aswell which doesnt help in today's meta.

If and when they do respond, I hope it is something fully baked. The problem with sorc is more than ward. It's a wholistic problem. When you add up ward, streak, their passives and their insane ranged burst damage potential they become really overtuned.

I do not duel, but I wonder what the sentiment on magsorc is from those sweats that do.

I’m a sorc main, and I can assure it’s usually the sweatiest stinkers who are hard to kill. I don’t even try to interact with them if they start streaking away and bounce around. It’s also a bit hard to not affect PVE if they blanket nerf certain skills. My suggestions are:

    A. Diminished returns on shields and their healing after like 40-50k magicka. This will only affect PVPers as the health cap is easily reached in PVE due to no Battle Spirit.

    B. Shields no longer considered “max health” under Battle Spirit or in general. AKA Sea Serpent Coil not giving them constant 40% damage reduction.

    C. Return Shieldbreaker to its former glory. The set currently only increases damage done by 12% against shields, but it used to do straight up Oblivion damage to each light attack against someone with shields. A pretty hard counter to shields.

    D. Some more sources of Oblivion damage.

Not a fan of just sitting there crying for nerfs or changes without thinking of how it’d affect the other population.
Sorcerer's pretty much been the same for years. Nerf Rush of Agony and Saints&Seducer's

Couldn't agree more with this. I dont know why they buffed ward in the first place. There must have been a reason. However, the way they did it was hamfisted and created a significant and terrible imbalance in pvp. I hope they don't chase that bad decision with more bad decisions.

Keep in mind even at max hp, taking damage on shields will proc "take damage" conditions. SSC will proc and go on cd.
