Same scenario here, possibly before the post now referring to this as a known issue [that will be fixed in a future incremental patch] was updated - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/674243/fallen-banners-and-update-45-known-issues. It's not clear to me whether the issue could reoccur and the only way I can think of to decrease my chance of getting this in PvP again is to challenge an NPC before I queue.Baandari stamsorc1 -
