Many moons ago I set upon the epic quest to obtain the ever elusive Dragonclaw Imperial Warbear. My research indicated that I had to obtain 10 10 Arena Gladiator proofs, 20 Siege of Cyrodiil Merits and 30 Battlemaster Tokens. I was highly confident that I could acquire these as I have been a General in the Daggerfall Covenant army for years and considered fearless by team mates and enemies alike.

I obtained the proofs and the merits quickly. The difficult part arrived which would be running Battlegrounds! I had only ever participated in a handful. I set out upon this daunting quest and after a month fraught with wins, loses and draws I obtained those 30 tokens! I walked up to the vendor and woe to me I discovered that I also had to have the Grand Champion achievement to purchase the last piece! This epic achievement required me to have 250,000 battleground points. After a month I only had 112,000. I almost gave up but I wanted that mount! Luckily it was Midyear Mayhem so I ran battlegrounds daily over and over an after a week I finally obtained this cool looking mount!

Then the most despicable, sad, heart dropping thing occurred. I went to Cyrodiil to slay all of our mortal enemies, AD and EP and I could not keep up with my team. The mount is SLOWER than their mounts. my guild mates who I normally ride at the same speed are leaving me behind. I thought I was mistaken so I switched out to several other mounts and it was true. The mount is slower than other mounts. I am sad and upset and about to give up PVP forever and just start running trials which do not require a mount!

The mount is slower than other mounts. I compared this mount about fiver other mount types and it is indeed slower. I've never saw this before, I've had max mount speed for years and this is a first.

Is this a bug? If not it really sucks. It's worthless in Cyrodiil. Very sad and actually a bit miffed. Considering it is PVP related a slower mount for such a long grind is really a slap in the face.

I was going to open a ticket but need to know if this is actually a bug, or intended? How do I tag a forum moderator to check first?

I cannot find anything on this as a known issue, I would submit a ticket here so that our support agents can look into it with you.

Thank you, I will double check this when I get home today and have someone else who has the mount also confirm, I had not thought of that last night. If it is still occurring I'll create a ticket.

The bear is so grindy I'm not surprised it's taken this long to discover a new bug. I hope you get it fixed, that would have been a painful experience but hopefully you have made others more enjoyable.

Have you tried other bear mounts to see if its noticeable only with the pvp one?

I didn't but that is a good idea, I didn't get a chance to test it last night as there was an hour wait to get into Cyrodiil where my guild plays. I'll try that tonight as well as ask others to check theirs.

Use something like ravspeed addon to see the speed.Make sure to test in CP campaign,since no-cp might be disabling some speed buffs. Also test difference between PVE and PVP speeds.

IME bear mounts always feel slower than other mounts. I always assumed it was just the more ponderous shape and gait compared with the senches and horses that I usually ride, and I've never actually tested the speed. If it is a real bug I hope it gets fixed, I only need a handful more wins for my warbear.

On PS4/5. It's just something I normally look at in Cyrodiil. When my group is riding between keeps seeing if i can get there first by taking different terrain and if I'm directly behind someone we ALWAYS ride at the exact same speed if we are PVP veterans with max mount speed. Got the bear and first time in group I noticed my group pulling away from me. I mentioned it in group and switched out to other mount types during the evening and there was no problem whatsoever. Switching back to the bear and bam I'm falling behind again. I asked in a few other of my guilds and not many have the mount so didn't get anyone who can check.

Mayhem is over so I can check this evening. I'll also check other bear type mounts and a few of my guild has the mount I'll ask them to check. I'll open a ticket if it is still occurring and post here what happens.

Imo some mount types get caught up/slowed down on terrain more than others, which slows them down. At least that's how it seems.

Changing the subject line as I re-tested this over the weekend and it must have been lag or something the day this occurred. I was able to keep up with everyone in my group just as normal even running over the same terrain between black boot and blood main like last time.
