I won't risk downloading the PTS again. Several years before the PTS debacle last year I downloaded the PTS and it did something that seriously messed with me being able to log in and play the regular game. I couldn't sort out the problem and I ended up having to unistall both PTS and the entire game, go through my files and delete everything related to ESO, and do a fresh install. Ever since then I've not been willing to even try the PTS. Then they had the problems last year that sealed the deal for me. I'll never touch the PTS again. It's not worth the risk in my view. Plus, ZOS disregards most of the feedback that we gave and that those that still play on the PTS anyway, so why bother?
I guess what I would be hoping for is to know how they plan to handle things in the future.
Normally. The incident was a one-time freak accident that they compensated heavily for. If it happened again, I’m sure they’d compensate again. But I’m sure they’ve also put more protections in place so it doesn’t happen again.

The PTS is fine. We haven't had an issue like that since and hopefully never will again. We have discussed and implemented new processes to hopefully avoid an issue like that from happening again.
