I would like to seperate my shown username from the automatically used loginname.
2 reasons:
- the really serious: if the loginname is used a hacker has half of the effort to hack an account, he only needs to find the password
- I didn't realized that the loginname is the shown name, and my loginname isn't really good to remember for others to remind me
So I would propose and appreciate the possibility to change the shown ingame username in the account section and seperate it from the login name.

Sahugani✭✭The first issue isn't all that likely considering they'd still need access to your Email for the unlock code when they try to log in from a new computer.
And I think you can contact support to change your account name if you really feel the need. I know i saw the mention in the help FAQ1 -
Sil✭✭✭ehm... you mean it isn't possible for TESO to do what all other MMO could, that the loginname and the player-ingame-name (alias) are 2 different Strings, cause they cannot contact then players cause of not to understand reasons, cause another String-Variable isn't programmable...
