Imagine having multiple bank accounts in one bank, and then the bank says you have to use all your accounts in a specific way but they won't even tell you how in order to have access to your money that you put in your account. Imagine how abusive that would be to the customers. Imagine how people would consider that to be wildly criminal.
The analogy holds. Legal changes to TOS probably make it okay to skirt around this kind of behavior. But it is still essentially in the fuzzy area of what most would perceive at bare minimum to be an abuse.
If I own both accounts, then what is the problem? I have no history of negative behavior. I don't even play a lot. I invested money in crowns on two accounts because at the time we were allowed to gift. It seemed WISE to have crowns on both because I didn't not foresee that I would not be allowed to use my crowns as I saw fit in gifting items to my own account when I returned in the future. I invested in this game. I invested in my accounts. Now I am blocked from using those investments. And other people have had the same experience. This is actually a very shady behavior on ZOS' part.
If my name is on both accounts, and I have a documented history of returning to this game and playing and investing in this game when I do that, why can't ZOS at bare minimum just remove the crowns from one account and put the house on another. Oh yes, It would take time. And likely all of this is being dealt with by AI. Just another company that only cares about money. What a surpise there.
