Missing Jubilee Cakes for Pan-Tamriel Event?

Since Zos is bringing tons of older/unavailable mementos/styles/fragments back from past events, can we also get a chance to purchase the Jubilee Cake mementos of years we're missing, too? It would be really cool to be able to get those missing cakes collected, since they're already doing that with things like style pages from last year's anniversary event and such. Oh, and double XP would be appreciated too.

I don't like FOMO but I do think that an anniversary cake is niche enough to justify it being limited to those who earned it in its respective year, unlike other "OG" cosmetic rewards.
The only change I'd make is to perhaps let anyone who played on that year unlock it, not just those who unlocked the memento back then.

Maybe they could re-release versions for the newer players, but without the golden glow or something.

I think he meant exactly that, since other items "you have missed" are coming back. So people who started playing after the event can get those items, but for whatever reason not the "cakes". It is especially weird once you factor in date when account was created. If some one started playing back in 2014, I see no reason why they would not be allowed to get those cakes, since they can get other items that previously were "event exclusive" items.

Tiger mount and monkey are technically loyalty reward that required you to pay cash, so those I think should not be available (at least not as same item). But Cakes ? If they are bringing tons of other event specific items back, then I see no reason why those should not be brought back too (especially for older accounts that exists since day 1). It is inconsistent.

this would have maybe made sense to ask when update 44 was still being tested, but Pan Tamriel Celebration starts in 3 days so it's really not getting additions now.

i do also want to have the 2016-2020 cakes because i wasnt able to get them because i wasnt playing yet or simply wasnt present during the Jubilees (i played in 2018 and 2020 but not during Jubilee).

But if zos ever lets people buy old cakes for years they didnt participate in they would be sold during Jubilee like they already are.

would be nice to get more "normal" looking cake furnishing since the first 3 cake is the most normal looking cake not these more wild designs, like just a normal looking cakes as regular craftable furnishings surely people do eat cake outside of jubilee

I have the Beta Monkey, all the loyalty rewards and all the cakes.

Personally I see these items as my reward for sticking around, I don't feel they should ever be rewarded retro-actively!

Two of my accounts don't have them, that is fine with me, those accounts weren't around so I believe they don't deserve them.

I would however be very happy to see some new cake furnishings added. 🙂

My impression was that the cake slices were introduced as an acknowledgment of the requests from those who felt all the cakes should be open to all players. Adding the entitlement to buy all the cakes for completing the current cake quest seems like it would have been less resource/time-intensive than creating new assets — especially as we know that the slices were bugged on release (a risk with anything new). Why go through all that if they were willing to give us the original cakes?

I missed several cakes during the years I was away from the game and I don't want to see the old ones made available again.

I like that it's a kind of keepsake for those who were actually present for those events.

Though marketing and sales people love to -- and commonly -- use FOMO to pull our strings, it's ultimately an internal thing that we all must learn to manage.

Plus it's sort of liberating to just ignore limited time cosmetic stuff and come through the other side and realize it's actually completely irrelevant.

I think the mementos should remain exclusive but the cake decorations should be made available for all.

The reason is that they made them a reward retroactively. The first one you could even just use a group member's cake for the exp buff, IIRC. And at the time, that was it's only purpose. So there are people who missed out because they trusted ZOS that the cake would only be good for exp and didn't need/want the exp at the time so didn't bother getting their own cake. They were playing the jubilee at the time, they just didn't bother with the memento. Only for it to turn out they did need it retroactively years later. I don't think that's fair.

This event had me so excited and then so disappointed at the same time. What’s the point of bringing back all sorts of other pet fragments if I am not able to get any sovereign sow fragment pieces. I literally did over 200 jester festival boxes last event to only get one fragment out of 7 needed. They really need to let us buy sovereign sow fragment pieces during an event somehow with event tickets

Definitely agreed. I always go ham on Jester's every year, and I still only have 2 of the fragments. Insane drop rates. The fact they're bringing the Anniversary event style pages back, after we farmed for HOURS and DAYS back when the drop rates were horrific, and now they're brought back with boosted drop rates is kind of a slap in the face to everyone who dedicated time to getting them. They really should just bring back every single exclusive collectible for events like these. Can't help but be disappointed with this event already.

As someone who has played since Day One and switched over during the open period to console, there is no way that the Seneche tiger mount should be available to those who weren't around for it.
Also kind of burns me that the Cake Conisseaur achievement has to do with the slices of cake and not the actual cakes themselves. Why would I go back and buy the slices if I have the cakes? Seems like Zos should give the achievement in both cases.
