Speed cap in Cyrodiil PVP

I've seen in lots of old discussions that the speed cap is 200. With my nightblade I hit that (at least) but it seems like there are some other players who can still run faster than I can. I was wondering if it's possible to go over 200 in any way? Like for example can a player use a skill that gives a temporary speed increase to run faster, even if only for a few seconds until the skill is done? I hit 200 by:

1. walk 100
2. run 140
3. orc 150
4. 7 medium armor 171
5. Concealed Weapon Nightblade skill gives Minor Expedition (so at least 15% buff) minimum 186
6. Celerity CP 196 minimum
7. Hasty CP 200 (running) minimum

So if I were to also use Race Against Time for example would my run speed be at least 230? Or since I'm at/over cap of 200 would the skill's Major Expedition speed buff have no effect?
Any way at all to go over cap in Cyrodiil PVP running? Potion, Steed Mundus, anything? I am on Xbox and I hope there is no way for a player to get over cap by cheating, even on PC. But maybe I'm being naive? I honestly don't know because I have no interest in cheating and have never even tried to research it. Thanks in advance.

There is no legitimate way to go over the speed cap of 200. That doesn't mean there haven't been (and probably are still) illegitimate ways to do it.

However, the most probable thing you are experiencing is simply a combination of latency and interpolation. Data does not come in at the same frequency that your framerate is running. It usually comes in much much less frequently and often at differing intervals of time simply due to the way network traffic across the world works. So your machine is constantly smoothing the motion out between these snapshots of positions. What this means is that spikes in time could cause your machine to suddenly speed up or slow down moving players and objects in an attempt to more closely match the last known position they were in without causing too much local latency due to this smoothing process and also without causing massive jumps in positioning.

Thanks for the answer but I can see that a few yellow and red blackreach players are clearly running much faster than all other players in the game. It's not a network or server performance issue. So they must be cheating. I'm surprised to see that on Xbox as I would think exploits or cheats might only work on PC. But clearly I'm just ignorant on the topic because I have no interest in cheating. I just wish other players felt the same way. There are clearly some who don't and nothing is being done about it. I shouldn't be surprised considering how PVP in general is basically ignored by the game maker and has been for much of the 8ish years I've been playing the game.

Well you can go over speed cap with certain exploits, but if you go to far beyond the speed cap you will be teleported back to a previous location. I obviously can't explain the exploits on the forums....even though I have been reporting the same ones for years.

TLDR: currently players dont need sprint if you build movement speed. An average build can easily sit at 150-160ish movement speed compared to presummerset where your average build would sit at 100% speed. I argued to restructure speed buffs so an average build would land around 130% as a middleground. Endgame PvE players complained that itd hurt their run by a few seconds so the rest of the playerbase should play an unstructured power crept game.

I am most concerned with total run speed and hit the 200 cap without swift jewelry, potions, mundus stone, or skills. (other than the passive buff from Concealed Weapon) If there is no way to go over the 200 (even when using a skill that provides temporary Major Expedition for example) then I guess we can consider this thread closed. Thanks for the answers.

Also keep in mind that the environment effects speed. So if you are chasing someone, whether on mount or foot, and you hit a rock or even a slight incline, it will slow you down, and it isn't even always visually noticeable because of DOF.
