Well, the Haven of the Five Companions is really nice, but something is missing - accommodation for Tamriel's greatest hero, the Vestige. I am in the process of changing the situation, here is my house for the Vestige - work in progress. :)

I guess the Vestige is supposed to take Mannimarco’s old room??? Creepy!

EDIT: that’s really awesome, by the way

VERY nice! When I previewed it, I thought it odd there was no PC's room. Great solution!

I noticed when interacting with the table that there is 5 figures. Mannimarco, Abnar Tharn, Si Sahan, Lyris Titanborn, and a 5th, what seems to me, random Imperial, so I guessed the imperial was a fill in for the 'Vestage' unless that's the Prophet. The 5 rooms have a banner in them as well which I assume is the banner of eachs race, with one having Elyswer banners inside that I guessed was for me because I am a Khajiit.

Anyways, I've gone off on a tangent. Great work on putting all of that together, it looks amazing!

I didn't take a closer look yet, but I guess the Imperial would be the Prophet, probably a depiction of him when he was younger?

As for the rooms, I also have to check first, but I'm sure they do not take the player character into account, but it's one room per companion.

Yes, as I interpret it this is the original Five Companions and we are just being allowed to use the facility that they used. I’m sure you can roleplay this any way you like, though.

I just assumed the 5th was Varen?

Anyway, with only 2 out of the original 5 companions still around (no idea where they are and wouldnt look even if I cared), I gave the house to my main and his 4 closest companions (some of my other characters) to get together, hang out, plot and plan.

Basically just what I imagine the original 5 did there, but the focus is different. My main has no interest in being Emperor or any type of leadership role. Instead they just plan heists, various ways to make a good amount of gold, and enjoy each others company.

BTW I left the table and center room almost the same. One of the new group has a strong interest in history.

    That's really cool!

Also it sounds like more people need to do the main questline in order to figure out who the Imperial is and what role he ultimately plays in the story. It's more than just accidentally starting the Planemeld, that's for sure. No spoilers tho, people need to do the quests.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like my House for the Vestige!

And I also find it interesting that it's unclear to newer players or those who aren't playing the main quest who the Imperial is (when you've played the story yourself so long ago, then it seems self-evident to know this).
Maybe there should be more references to the events surrounding the Planemeld in newer quests. But who knows, maybe with the new concept we'll get new quests that tie in with the original story about the Vestige, that would be nice.

There were two sets of Five Companions, and the evidence here is that the rooms match the first set. So Varen, not the Prophet.

At that point, none of them had even heard of a Vestige.

Speaking of the rooms, which one is Varen and which is Abnar? Both have Imperial stuff, but one also has Elsweyr stuff. Thinking the Elsweyr/Imperial one is Abnar, since he's back in the Elsweyr chapter.

I assumed the Imp/Elsweyr one to be Abnur's - having two totally Imperial ones would have been somewhat silly, and entirely non-specific.

To be fair, I've done the main quest line years and years back when I first started playing before OT, I'm just unaware if Varen was part of the companions before, or when they even started up, 'cos (and this is potential spoilers here so don't read ahead if not done) didn't he say he was the Emperor or something? Or am I misremembering entirely/missing lore

He was the Emperor, and the Five Companions were the group of people he travelled with on his quest to find the Amulet of Kings, which was lost at that time. Mannimarco was part of that group, had sinister plans, of course, messed things up, which led to Varen fleeing and finding refuge with some Moth Priests. He joined them, became known as "The Prophet". As that we meet him in game years later. The house above is from the time before Mannimarco's betrayal, when they were still travelling companions. In short.

Varen was the son of the Colovian Duke during the time of the Longhouse Emperors. So in essence yes, the "Imperial Emperor" - which Varen the Prophet states during your first introduction to the Five Companions during the first of your solo "quest events" with him.
