Saw the black friday sale for all ESO chapters, said what the hell, went for it. Scribing and the Infinite Dungeon look really fun to me!

✭✭✭After an emergency shutdown process got triggered at the servers on Thursday, there's been a new connection issue tonight. This isn't normal, and in my experience even the patch/DLC launches the past year have been overall smooth (not without issues at certain times).PC-NA

You're right that it was unfortunate timing, but the good news is that's because this weeks downtime was very unusual. Normally the worst we get is maintenance overrunning by a few hours, or random problems that affect some, but not all, the people trying to log into a server for a few hours.
I mean, compared to Guild Wars 2 it's not great, but that says more about that games servers than this one, as far as I know it's the only MMO which manages to stay online (almost) all the time, even during maintenance and new releases.

You missed the 10th Anniversary Jubilee where the PTS and PCNA had a planemeld. Some people could not log in for 2 weeks as their accounts were getting fixed.
So, tonight isn't quite so bad (so far).3 -

✭✭I’ve been playing this weekend with no issues! Re-immersing myself in Tamriel is great. I also have a new rig since the last time I played so everything on max and I am reminded of how gorgeous this world is.
Still mad about my Templar jabs but the new skill styles and scribing system is really cool so that makes up for it!3
