Guild finder not good

I’ve been trying to find a social guild lately on PC/NA. Have joined a couple and found myself leaving. I keep getting guilds where people and events are all EST. I’m a west coast guy. Anybody know any guilds primarily PST. Normal/Vet dungeons and trials. Other guild activities. I’m fairly casual so nothing too sweaty.

✭✭✭✭The guild finder really should get overhauled. People should not be able to select every subcategory if they don’t match every category… and there should be a search bar… and a list of timezones. ✭✭Just here to add that it's absolutely insane that we can't search for a guild using... the name of the guild... in 2024.
Guild finder needs some work for sure.
As a workaround, OP might try asking in zone chat in some of the busier areas, like craglorn or the alliance capitals with undaunted enclaves. I know some people who found a good guild that way, but obviously results will be mixed.2 -

I suppose that one has to consider that a text search would require that every guild name be downloaded to the client so the client can do the search, or that the server would have to do a text search every time someone wanted to use the feature. I don't know how many guilds are in the database, but I would think it is a lot. We certainly don't get them all when using the guild finder. Different guilds show up when using it multiple times.

Haha I'll give you that, perhaps it could be limited to guilds with more than 10 members or something, much like unlocking a guild bank. Or maybe limited to guilds that actively post a searchable recruitment message, kind of like group finder.

✭Name search and listing the actual time zone would sure be a great.
IMHO
Actual time zone the Guild runs in should listed, base this on the time zone of the guild creator. The function of the Guild finder is so borked. The built in type of guild filter does not work very well due to the allowing of multiple selections in the Guild Creation interface for the choosing the types of guild it is.
This make a Social Guild for PVP only no Trader guild or PVE only no Trader guild difficult to find as 95% of the listing have a Trader and sales requirements.

There are multiple reasons different guilds show up.
