What are some of your favorite group DLC dungeon stories??

Looking to do some group DLC dungeon quests and not rush through them like I did with all the base game ones 😭.

DLC dungeons don’t really have stories as far as I’m aware, they’re more “we went here to get a thing”. That said, some DLC dungeons do continue from nonDLC ones. Like Frostvault and Depths of Malatar continue from Vollenfell.

And Lair of Maarselok follows from Selene's Web.

Earthen Root Enclave isn't a "get a thing", it was a "kick out the Firesong Circle", Scrivener's Hall was "fight the usurper", Bal Sunnar was "investigate this wack village",

Scalecaller Peak and Fang Lair are connected in that they hinted that Zaan the Scalecaller and Orryn the Black would have eventually clashed had the Undaunted not stepped in and took care of both as well

    Personal favourites:
    1. Stone garden, aka "this place reeks of wet dog and fungal infection". Great mad scientist vibes and a very good dungeon whatsoever. Read the lorebooks.
    2. Shipwrights regret. Very moody ambience and haunted harbor vibes. Main story is so so, but the side bosses mini stories are really adding to the cursed place theme.
    3. Bal sunnar. Because time loop shennanigans.
    4. Frostvault. Because Tharaya. And of course they have a troll ;)
    5. Depths of Malatar. As above. Plus bad ex jokes.
    5. Lair of Marselook. Awful dungeon combat wise, but looks great and it was nice to see Selene's story resolved.
    6. Black drake villa. Just because killing bookburners feels good.

    Lair of Maarselok...you mean Selene´s Web 2? ;)

They are also connected in that Thurvokun was Zaan’s dragon. Thurvokun leaving Scalecaller Peak and going to Fang Lair is why Zaan was murdered.

I duo the DLC dungeons on Normal when they release to do the quests with someone and take our time reading the lorebooks. There's usually someone else looking to do the stories. (Probably never going to get to the basegame stories, since my characters have already done them.)

Bedlam Veil is one of my favorites. The memories from Fa-Nuit-Hen are so sentimental, which combine with the dreamlike, fractured atmosphere really well. The plot of the quest is less evocative than walking through Fa-Nuit-Hen's memories. More cutscenes like that and touchstone moments would be really nice to have, as I feel the quest had more personal dialogue than others.

I'd have loved to see something like that from Lucilla in Dread Cellar, because her personal reaction to the events is strong enough that it would lend itself to more moments of emotional payoff and processing.
