go through every Portal to the Unknown to get extra Muniment Chests, kill every Marauder, and always kill Gw the Pilferer.
every Infinite Archive antiquity lead drops from Muniment Chests, Marauders, and Gw the Pilferer.
sometimes the leads might be in Filer Ool's stock so be sure to check every week.
That sounds like a tedious experience.
I have gotten all of them through trying to get the new IA daily achievement for 30 ones (snore, 30!?). And I'm still only at 18/30. I dug the station up once I got the last, and now I have 2 or 3 new leads for it again.
Info for doing the rng math in my case: I have also sometimes done multiple runs on a day, and I've had one time where I made it all the way to arc 8, and sometimes arc 4-6. But mostly just going to somewhere in arc 3-4, and a few times just for daily. Sometimes I've sadly paired up with people who don't do random portals, but apart from that I've done them as much and as well as possible.
I find that all sources except the end of cycle boss chest drop leads, with marauders being the most looty, then random chests and Gw.
Also on some days the leads have just been raining down, and on others I've seen nothing.
My point is keep doing it, it's bound to drop at some point. Also, farming is boring, and zos is artificially increasing playtime by having this one consist of 10 leads. It's just an unnecessary amount, earlier it's been 3-5 for this kind of item. 10 is waaay too many for one furnishings like this, it's making people hate playing instead of feeling rewarded during an activity like IA (which I like to do sometimes).
I've had a frustratingly low droprate for IA book furniture and for fragments for all the collectibles sadly. It's strange that books drop so sparsely in an archive.
Wish there was an IA book merchant where I could trade one book for another one. Especially since books are not curated. I have a decent amount of double drops that would be fantastic to trade for books I don't have. I suppose the same merchant could trade in other bound books as long as they can drop for people (that you've read them). I know filer Ool already has a rotating stock of them, but it's 2, it should be 5 times as many.

Hey yeah they key is indeed just pushing thru and be lucky. Funny enough I'm actually getting overhelmed by the bookfurnishings, even ending up destroying some. And the mythic lead drops also rain down on me (even tho I really don't need that). So far the fastest way I learned is Just keep running 3 runs a day of ARC 1 and 2 (I play solo so it's rare to get into ARC 3 for me alone). Sideportals sadly are now mostly onlye the theater of war since that is the only one I didn't get all the achievements for yet. Can't get past the 2 crystal one, I can't seem to manage to get my dps high enough to bring a crystal down quick enough or to run iun time back and forth between the crystals and interupting her attacks). Maybe I should partner up so I can get that achievement and the sideportals go back into randomly rotating (seriously eso why did you make it so that its depended on the stupid achievements I don't care about, just give me my happy goat runs!!). Luckelly did get the hang off most maurauaders (only the werewolf I can't seem to understand) and the golden loot boy only drops style pages...but well that's just RNG having it's fun with me.
I think it mostly helped my sanitiy to see IA as a way to level my companions instead of farming it for the leads (funny enough still need 2 drops for the clothing station and 5 for the jewelry, so getting there...very slow). Like you said, the way they designed it is just so short term it looks like players are playing more, but longterm actually only feeds dread and boredom.
Yeah, I know that keep farming is stupid advice when rng is exactly what it's meant to be - random.
Are you on pc-eu? I'd love to help you with it, especially theater of war, it sucks if you're loosing access to all the other ones because of that. We can go at it in the pace and everything you'd prefer, no pressure or time pressure added. I'm no IA expert at all, but I do just fine. I used to play IA purely solo, but have stopped doing that completely because it's so nice and fast to go with someone
