Anyone find a way to hide the Seabloom Villa trap door on the upper level floor?

I hate the trap door on the second level floor and have temporarily put some flowers over it, but am looking for a more pleasing way to hide this. It has to be something short enough that the player doesn't get stuck inside it when coming up from the lower level, and enough of it showing so it can be used to go back down.

Has anyone found a good way to hide this?

I made this contraption shown below and can still use the trapdoor. I arrive on the bench though when I use the ladder from the first floor. That does not bother me, but may not be suitable for you. What really irks me is that the trapdoor is not centered in relation to the adjacent wall.

That looks interesting. So covering it completely doesn't stop you from going down to the lower level?

I tried to raise the floor over it but then I couldn't access it to go down.

It's not covered completely. Extremely thin slivers of the trapdoor are accessible on the left and right sides. They are hard to see because their color matches the color of the covering.

I'm going to play around with that tomorrow. Thanks for the idea!

I also found the trapdoor to be completely unaesthetic. I "covered it up" and built a "pseudo staircase" on the lower floor.

Edit: the trapdoor is behind the wooden wall and still functioning. Placed some other stuff around that it looks like a storage area behind the wall.

I finally figured it out and raised the floor up to cover all but the hinges. Now if I mouse anywhere above the bench I get the E and can still use it.

I had reskinned the floors and ceilings because I didn't like the ones that came with it, so I just tweaked them up and down until it worked.

Finally the ladder now looks like part of the bookcase I put there and the trapdoor is covered by the lower level ceiling and the upper level floor.
