can you fix the scoring and timing in bgs?

In what weird world 10 years later that HEALERS are stillll scoring more points in bg's then ppl actually killing ppl? I figured that woulda been adjusted on this new bg setups but if you are going to give points for healing in a domination/crazy king, u should award the same points for those getting kills as well. its absurd I just went 15/1/21. and a healer went 0/4/11 and had like 3500 points to my 2000. I was on a flag the whole match as well either taking or defending. like weirddd flex zos to award a healer over one's actually pvping. Also in a 4v4 healers are OP. one good healer can keep the whole group alive. we had 3 sorcs with huge burst against a group with one good plar healer and just kept ulti dumping and healing them to full. self healing needs to be scaled up a bit and cross healing wayyyy down.

another note why is there one min in between rounds of deathmatch? should be like 10 seconds. Don't need a min to dance around up top waiting for the next round. Just my two cents. If I lieee and say I'm a pve'r and not a pvper. will you listen to me zos? pleaseeee! seems like pvp is catered to them and thats all the only advice they listen to, if they listened to us it would be ONLY deathmatch 100% of the time anyways.

I love the 4v4 instead of the 3 groups, just needs some adjustments made imho. cyr should just be two alliances. so one of those groups cant just troll the other two fighting. it think you call them ball groups, I call them "can't think for myself, and only able to smash one button over and over lmao" :)

    But the healer, who keeps you alive so you don't die, so you can do more damage and stay in the PvP fight longer... Isn't involved in PvP?

    I'd say healers are actually PvPing too, it's not like they are being awarded medals for doing nothing at all.

    I'm sure the medal system could have some rework done too it though, I have read some posts that it's easily done on healers to farm the leaderboard..

    Perhaps my healer build is built wrong.. I can average 2m+ healing a match, usually doing the most healing on my time but I will still sit very low on the leaderboard as I don't have many medals :(:D

    This is as easy as it gets. If you can get points for healing others you should get points for doing damage to others.

    Almost every single time in a deathmatch at the end recap I am highest in kills and assists, lowest in deaths. Yet there is two ppl above me and sometimes with like 50k healing that's it but somehow they are awarded more medals and points cuz of that. it's absurd. Also there are too many troll healing bots. standing on a flag holding block and healing is not pvp. I'm sorry, it's just not. You should be able to put out damage and heal, not just troll and be unkillable by 4 ppl in a bg. Mostly plars or 50k health den's. I just had the most boring match i've ever had. it was against 3 troll tank healers and one sorc. It took the whole time both rounds and it was one or two kills on the sorc each time. none on anyone else and no kills on us. thats troll toxicity lol.

    As a DD player, the support I actually need isn't for a bunch of tanks to grind the match to a halt, it's to coordinate with other cross healing DDs to help keep us all alive while pushing enough damage to break through opposing cross healing, preferably with AoE ults that have synergies like Nova or Standard.

    It's fine to have casual players on what's basically a brick that spams heals and drops heal ult on cd, as a way into the game, but in no world should this be such an obscenely powerful strat in competitive play.

    The problem (if we for a short second forget that using medal score as a way to measure competitiveness and using it to determine leaderboard placement is an awful concept) is that critical healing medals rewards more than it´s intended. If you read the in game description (which matches the values in the link I posted) it´s supposed to reward 5 points every time you get the medal, but instead it gives 100 points. It´s been like this for years so it´s nothing new, but the way I see it, it´s either a typo in the "Help section" where it says how many points it should give, or the medal rewards people with more points than intended.

    @ZOS_Kevin Is this something that can be brought up as a question to the devs if the critical heal medal is supposed to give as much points as it gives? If that´s the case it would be a good idea to fix the ingame typo under the help section.

    Sure at the end of the day the medal score doesn´t really matter since the rewards doesn´t scale with your leaderboard status. Only time it matters is when there is a tie in the deathmatch 4v4´s and medal score is used to determine who wins (which is also an awful concept btw).

    @ZOS_Kevin this was from last night. 4v4 solo queue. I'm at the bottom of my team. However, my CMX (which I stupidly didn't save correctly) showed that I did 600k dmg and almost 200k cross healing from Intensive Mender.

    You will never have a competitive game when you are purposefully and intentionally punishing your players for playing a specific class.

    I was #2 in dmg AND #2 in healing in the entire lobby, yet I was ranked #6 in the lobby. It's really insulting that you're not even acknowledging this.

    I agree on points for kills. I would say this should apply in every game format. If the team is dead they can't take your relic, flag or chaos ball or defend theirs.

    However, the simplest and most equitable fix for bgs, given that medal score actually counts toward wins now. Is to give the exact same points for DOING DAMAGE as are given for healing. Anything short of this makes zero sense when the score is added up.
