Endeavours: why always Vastarie's Tutelage?

Does anyone know why endeavours for crafting set items almost always require the Vastarie's Tutelage set?

It doens't make a difference for me (and I suspect most people who pick that one) because I use the housing stations which have all the sets, but it seems odd that it's always the same one. Is there some benefit for ZOS in using that one?

The obvious answer is it gives people another incentive to buy the Elseweyr DLC, but as I said I suspect most people use the stations in a house (either their own or someone else's) so I'm not convinced it's very effective at that.

I did notice that the "Craft a set item" seems to always be Vastarie's Tutelage.

I wonder if their internal list of Endeavors just forgot to include the other sets. There are like 76 other ones to choose from here, and from different DLCs if that is a concern (but I doubt that is a concern).

I think there's been at least one other than vastarie's. But to be honest, I'm just pleased it's such a nice one to get done.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that the first time that Endeavor made its appearance was probably duriing a themed event, and is simpy still sitting in the hopper that's occasionally picked up by whateve method is used to select them.

It happened twice this week, I think, which is why I noticed it was the same set. At least the crafting location easy to get to (I could use the station in one of my guild's houses but sometimes I come across goodies like chests and thieves troves when I'm riding to a crafting station out in the world).

Armor of the Seducer, Diamond's Victory, Seeker Synthesis, Claw of the Forest Wraith, Deadlands Demolisher, Chimera's Rebuke, Critical Riposte, etc have all been endeavors.

Vastarie is the most common but not the only one.

I found this out by searching "Craft 1" in a place where the endeavors are posted each day. I know sometimes it asks us to craft 2 or more as well, but Craft 1 is mostly just these craft a set item endeavors so it was the easiest way to narrow the search. Since it was an imprecise search and I didn't go through the entire thing, that is not an exhaustive list.

I'll add based on searching the word "craft" we have had to craft Vastarie 3 times in the past week. It's been a month since we had to craft something else (Armor of the Seducer). So, there's a bit of recency bias but also Vastarie is legitimately more frequent lately than other sets.

It's part of the ESO+ version of the game. No need to buy it, just the subscription.

Vasterie is also a 3-trait set which is good for newer/non crafter players which is nice.

It's not "almost always;" there is usually more variation with this particular endeavor.

But Sunday (yesterday) was the third time within one week we've had this set-crafting endeavor, which is way out of the ordinary, and all three times have been for Vastarie's, which is doubly odd.

Yesterday and today are the first times I've seen an endeavor for this set. I've seen many others though.
I will write it in EU date format:

When I look on the discord bot at what the endeavors were, it looked like this (Only "Craft X YYYY items"):
      First was in September:
      11.9. 1 Vastarie's Tutelage Item
      October was different:
1.10. 1 Armor of the Seducer Item
      Then November:
      4.11. 2 Vastarie's Tutelage Items
      8.11. 1 Vastarie's Tutelage Item
      10.11. 2 Vastarie's Tutelage Items

So in three months was 4 Vastarie's Tutelage craft endeavors and only 1 different.

It's not always, and it's not a bad choice of set - as mentioned, you don't need a lot of traits. It's in an area everyone has access to, not that far from a wayshrine, and if you've got a bunch of peeps doing the endeavour they might see a dragon fight going on and decide to jump in.

It's also probably just laziness on behalf of the endeavour giver.

Northern Elsweyr is not base game so not everyone has access to it. I imagine most have access since even if they don't have that DLC they have a guild or a favorite house that has the table. But, only base game stuff is accessible by all.

The weird thing is that November is an outlier. It's been 3 times in roughly the past week. Prior to that, "craft a set" was not a common daily endeavor. I wonder if this is in response to Kevin's post about the daily endeavors. A little while ago someone made a post saying the endeavors numbers were too high and then Kevin made a post saying they'd look into that.

Let's face it - it gives us a reason to craft Vastarie's Tutelage.

It is true that recently some endeavors have become "harder". I'm not saying all of them, but you can see that from a certain point there are some days when you just say, today I really don't want to run around Tamriel like a fool for 10 endeavors, if they would at least raise the value of the ones they doubled compared to the previous ones (same or same type).
And yes, this month is the third time in a few days that the same set has to be crafted. Maybe it's a clue to something coming up or maybe the algorithm just went crazy.

I’ve had those free attunable stations they gave away sitting in my bank for a while with no idea what to do with them. It looks like I should make them into Vastarie’s Tutalage for convenience!

You really only need one to be Vastarie unless you plan on using the set.

Why this set? Probably because you only need 3 known traits to craft a piece, it's accessible to the large majority of the players.
