Dolgubon's Lazy Crafter / Trouble

Hello All

I suddenly have a problem with this addon (after 2 years of trouble free use). I have daily writ for a potion of ravage health. I already did hundreds of those in the past, but today, suddenly, instead of having the usual markers showing the applicable ingredients, there are no markers appearing and the usual writ description has a red font text telling "Missing items/traits".

Problem: Since it doesn't show what ingredients are concerned, I'm stuck. How do I know?

Additional info: addon is freshly updated (via minion) and I restarted, but it didn't change anything.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the addon, but Alchemy writs and Enchanting writs have a known issue in U44 with the "quests only" filter. If you uncheck that filter you should be able to find the required ingredients manually to select them.

I will try that, thank you. I will provide feedback later.

Edited for correction as I did put herein the answer to a different issue. Sorry for the mix.

I solved the problem as follows:
    - I disabled Alchemy in the settings of the lazy crafter addon.
    - I installed the addon "Potion Maker" (specific to Alchemy).

With that, I can do alchemy writs again.

However, one "cosmetic" problem remains as I keep having a notification telling me I miss items/traits on screen while crafting my alchemy writ. Since it doesn't prevent the crafting, I just ignore and hope that some days it will disappear.

Afaik Dolgubons Lazy Writ Crafter does NOT support alchemy writs at all?
I think you are barking at the wrong tree :)
Easy to check: Disable Dolgubons Lazy Writ Crafter and your UI should still show that potion related "missing items" sreen then? So it cannot be DLWC.

You either need to install PotionMaker or Daily Alchemy (which I assume is the one your got the warning shown from) addon for that!

Same relates to daily provisioner writs! DailyProvisioner or other addons, but not DLWC afaik.
Even the addon says so clearly in the addon comments sticky post at the top:
    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1346-DolgubonsLazyWritCrafter.html#comments
    Alchemy and Provisioning Crafting?
Provisioning and Alchemy not supported for crafting. The addon will withdraw those items from the bank, (so you can craft a stack, stick it in the bank, then you don't need to craft for weeks) however if you are still looking for an addon to craft them, check out Daily Alchemy or Daily Provisioning. Given the existence of those addons, (and, tbh, the fact that I don't personally need it) it's unlikely that I will add support for those crafts.

So basically one just needs to read the descriptions of addons first, then check the addon comments on esoui.com and after that, if description and comments (sticky posts at the top there e.g.) do not provide any info or help or FAQ, and the userbase does neither added any comments there that help with the problem, you can consider it being a possible bug/error ;)

But you should at first disable the addon you think it causes it then and check on your end if that is still happening then.

I wil ignore the condescendence in your post (intentional?), stay rational and bring two questions.

    1) Has something changed with the lazy crafter addon due to the U44 update?
Reason for my question: Up to now, the lazy crafter addon didn't automatically craft for alchemy (well known), but it did put markers aside proper ingredients and I then just had to click "craft" to proceed. Thanks to that, at least up to update 44, I have never needed additional crafting addons. The lazy one was sufficient.
I understand now thanks to another post later, that I was wrong on that. The markers were not coming from the addon, they were coming from the base game. Glad to be clear on that now. :)

    2) Today, for a test, I removed all addons I had related to crafting. After that, I took an alchemy quest, went to an alchemy station and... Got the exact same message:

    ksjuzenf6dni.jpg

But all my crafting addons are removed, what I carefully checked before. Does that mean that the issue is not caused by the addons, but is coming from something else? What could it be?

After U44, I updated all my addons via minions and that's true, I didn't read the information about what has changed. So, yes, if it is informed that the lazy crafter addon now completely exclude alchemy (as in doesn't even select ingredients anymore), I failed to see the news. My bad.

There is a bug in the base game related to the markers for enchanting and alchemy, which is probably what you are seeing

hahaha! OK, so that was it... Thank you so much for the information that I failed to see. :D

And thanks to your post, I also understand something else now: I always thought that the markers on the alchemy ingredients were put by the addon lazy crafter. I had wrongly understood that. The markers were probably coming from base game and not from the addon. Oh my... :s

I wonder where exactly that would have been? It was not intentional.
You should not try to interprete my answers please :D They should be read as the text shows.
Keep in mind please that I'm no native English speaker.

I was trying to help you and show what can be done to detect what addons are causing issues.
I provide you the links and the information how to do that.

So it seems to be a vanilla game issue then, no addon related.
And thanks to your post, I also understand something else now: I always thought that the markers on the alchemy ingredients were put by the addon lazy crafter. I had wrongly understood that.

For that, as an additional information, you guys should always turn ALL addons off and test if the error still happens. Because then you can be sure that you need to report the bug via /bug ingame to the game Devs of ZOs ;)

I make this last post to put a "clean" end to the issue.

So, by now, I use the two addons Lazy Crafter and Potion Maker. In the addon Lazy Crafter, I set Alchemy Writs to ON in the settings, because although crafting isn't supported, all time savers apply, what is nice. The crafting is then done by the add on Potion Maker. With that, all is good.

    Thanks All for your help.

@ DreamyLu, thank you for the fix. I was having the same exact issue crafting my alchemy writs with Lazy Writ Crafter so I did what you suggested and it works fine now! Also, I noticed in the Lazy Writ settings it says it no longer supports Alchemy writs or Master writs, I guess something changed in the base game. Anyway thanks again! :)
