Is it just me or does it look like these are held the wrong way around? They look like shotel style swords but the point is not towards the opponent but the attacker. Looks really off. I think they should be flipped. Opinions?

I assume you could use them both for cutting or for stabbing dependent on how you hold it.
Unlike an sickle you would want the outside to be sharp not inside.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

They have curved swords. Curved. Swords. :D
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

It's not the shape that matter, it's how you use it !

... well ok the shape matter. But what also matter is how it is intended to be used, in which context, etc. I am by the way curious about the shotel, if anyone as more information about it.

But on topic, a curved sword like the crescent moon one could theoretically be used in both way, like a shotel or like a more traditional sabre-style sword ( such as a khopesh, which share a kind of sickle shape ).

As for the crescent moon sword itself, I have some doubt concerning this shape and size for a warfare tool - given the relationship of the khajiit with the moons, I would say it's more a traditional sword. But I'm far from an expert in the matter !

I'm sure its supposed to be more ceremonial than anything. Crescent Moons are integral to Khajiiti society.

I think they went with the "rule of cool" here. A sickle as a weapon looks cool but isn't practical at all... Lots of weapons in this game are very impractical when you start looking at them for too long. XD

There were two kinds of sickle-like sword, the Shotel as a stab-around-the-shield sword, and the Khopesh that combines a long cutting blade on the outside curve with the raw power of an axe.

Clearly the crescent sword looks too fragile to be used as an overdesigned axe, but this is fantasy with fantasy materials.
