You can actually do the entire dungeon solo, including the final secret boss - you only need to step on one pad yourself. That's how I got my lead a couple of months ago.

But I tried this and it didn’t work for me. I wonder if it’s because I previously had group mates for the rest of the dungeon.

I ran to this dungeon about 20 times for a lead through the queue. At the beginning of the dungeon, I asked to kill all the secret bosses for a farm lead - no one ever refused.

Seducer mythic should be the model for acquisition going forward. Takes you exploring the new content, drop rates are forgiving, no time gates, and it's fun stuff like fighting bosses, not hours of menial labor simulation.
Leads should never be in out of the way places. This is why I always just wait for the IA merchant to sell these if I didn't find/encounter them by playing the way I play. It's just not worth the effort.

It could be a long wait, given that the merchant tends to sell the easiest leads to obtain (static locations and other easy ones). If ZOS was going to add leads to vendors, the least it could have done was removed the easy ones from the vendor pool.

I eventually got the Thras Greaves.

A boss that can’t be soloed because you require a full team to activate it. And a boss you’ll almost never encounter because people are too fond of rushing through dungeons in solo queue and you would be lucky to have guild mates join you on a farming quest.
Also been farming for hours and hours and that Harvester plate still hasn’t dropped yet. Considering the amount of effort required I’m starting to think that it just isn’t worth it.
Hope they don't do that, as I sometimes also buy those static leads if I didn't stumble upon them by accident while just playing. Maybe ZOS should change it to two hard leads, one static lead. Or just increase the leads number to five random leads.Leads should never be in out of the way places. I have done Coral Aerie before and after updates. You can now (it was changed compared to its release) have a team of less than 4 people step on the pads to fight the secret frog boss. Just make sure to do the 3 tunnel bosses and you should be good.
Some leads drop from silly places.
