Give the Character Select Screen clear lighting.

On Console, we're very limited in our photography ability, which is why every time I've taken character portraits, it's always been in the Character select screen, before logging into the game. It gives you the best full body camera angle available. But with West Weald and it's oversaturated, high glare lighting, it's ruined any photo I take, and even though I've gotten to the point I want to update my character portraits because of their updated outfits, I can't get proper screenshots of them because of the lighting, and now have to wait until NEXT June for the new Chapter and it's corresponding login screen background.

This could be fixed by letting us choose which background we want, but I don't see them doing that as it'd be such a low priority.

Either that, or FINALLY give Console players a Vertical Camera Position/Offset slider in our options so we can take these screenshots in-game.

I agree that West Weald is probably the least attractive background on the character select screen.

i would also love the choice of different backgrounds.

Though we get the new chapter background when q1 updates release so March instead of June.

also the outfit station is a good place to take character screenshots too.
you can choose your own lighting by adding whichever furnishings you want.

i always have the west weald splash when i load my characters in (on PC), it doesnt matter where the characters are logged out, i always get that washed out autumn look on the selection screen

No. It's always W Weald at this point in time.

That's not good. We used to get different backgrounds, at least based on Alliance. AD looked like Auridon etc. I parked all my Alts in West Weald as the Writ crafting there is super efficient. So I never noticed. I had parked my AD in Auridon, but did not pay attention this AM.

What?

Not true. I have logged off at various times in probably 90% of the zones and exited the game. Logging back in is ALWAYS at the background of whatever the newest Major update is. And stays that way until the next major change, usually includes adding DLC.

I just tested this, and, no matter what zone you log off at, it is West Weald.

This needs to change back. To the zone we log out in, or the alliance.

I don't think it's ever changed based on where you logged out.

There used to be a different background for each alliance (Skyrim for the Pact, Alik'r for the Covenant and Auriden for the Dominion) but that was based on the character's Alliance, not where they were currently standing. It was changed years ago to match the latest chapter you owned.
