PvP Target dummy?

Maybe it is time we have an adjustable target dummy in housing?

Be nice to be able to test against various player stats of our choosing.

Variable stats like resist, crit resist, health

Variable states, like blocking or stationary. Maybe even roll spamming in place?

This would be a cool idea, but only if you can change the stats. If you just added a dummy that cut damage in half by 50% it would be worthless.

Interesting idea of configurable dummy, though as a minim baseline would be happy with one of those vet trial dummies that simply provide Battle Spirit. The key part is to be able to verify build and numbers while under effect of Battle Spirit for PVP.

I suppose I should have also included battlespirit originally lol

PVP target dummies already exist! They can be found in Cyrodiil in front of the main zerg, doing absolutely nothing beyond holding block, healing, and providing you with a means to build up your ultimate. ;)

I would be nice to have the option for the dummy also attack you with various levels of damage

Example: For tank testing sets and uptimes for setups that do damage when you received damage.
    PC NA (Tank/DPS) - [PVE]
    Started ESO - Oct 2020

    Necro Main
Tank main from 300cp - 1200cp at which point I switched to DPS - I was 100k on every class except werewolf. I cleared 115k on necro, but I am completely done with parsing. My hands won't let me anymore. Lucky there is still heavy attack and arcanist options available. Otherwise I would possibly have to give up eso entirely.

Note: Armory slots are separated by "|" below.
    • (Libitina Khalida) Dark Elf Necromancer: Off Tank | EC DPS
    • (Fresh Gator Meat) Argonian Dragonknight: Main Tank | ZK DPS
    • (Electro-Meowster) Khajiit Sorcerer: HA Solo | MK DPS
    • (Blood of Death) Dark Elf Nightblade: SPC/PA Healer
    • (Arctic Mist) Dark Elf Warden: ROJO Healer
    • (Affah Beta Gamma) Breton Templar: Mag DPS.
    • (autocookies) Imperial Arcanist: Stam DPS
    • (Aeriegil Forestbranch) Wood Elf Warden: PVP
    Thank you,

Whatever damage you do to a dummy, minus about 70% more or less is what you’ll do in PvP.

Giving it the 33k Armor value for 50% mitigation versus the 18k the current dummies have is a big reason why it would be nice.

A target dummy that activates battle spirit and can be CC'd would be a nice addition.

How are you going to make it run around and pass behind objects to negate line-of-sight? Not a whole lot of pvpers stand in one spot while you do a rotation.

Most PVE bosses have mechanics that need to be observed. Doesn't mean the target dummies aren't useful. In fact it would be pretty inconvenient if I'm trying to test the damage of a certain combo or build yet my target dummy keeps jumping around and dodging etc. I can just go to Stormhaven for that experience.

not true, people also have linear critical reduction, so lets imagine, if u compare 2 characters with basic critical damage, one with 100% crit chance and another with 0%, one with crit chance will do x1.5 dps in pve, but in pvp they'll do the same exact dps against a target with RC.

so if u are playing crit build in pvp, u should atleast test dps on a normal dummy without buffing ~45-50% crit damage. and if u are playing non-crit, then u have no way to test ur dps coz u cannot reduce ur critdmg bonus stat below 0%. well, u can calculate it. but this is an extra step and not many people even realize the crit dps increase formula of (1+chance*bonusdamage), where bonusdamage is what u see in stats +50%. for example 40% crit chance and 35% crit dmg in stats (actual x1.85 pve crit) will give 0.85*0.4 = 34% dps increase in pve and 0.4*0.4 = 16% increase in pvp against character with RC and no impens. so u should divide ur dummy dps by 1.34 and then multiply by 1.16

This could be a nice quality of life update for housing, pvp, pve endgame and almost everyone playing this game. AFTER fixing all the performance issues and bugs of course.

Take the "build editor", "skillplanner", etc. from various websites and make it an ingame character/houseguest that we can customize however we want. Skills, gear, champion points, motifs, looks, buffs, debuffs, everything. Allow us to save builds and let us compare all the stats.

Update the "pathing tool" (housing). So additionally to "allowing us to specify unique paths for assistants, mounts, pets etc. to follow throughout our house", we can also program actions like block, jump, roll, skills etc.

Let us fight the new houseguest, and give us an option to turn on/off battle spirit. Let us choose exactly which buffs, debuffs, synergies etc. our char gets while we are fighting the new houseguest.

Additionally to the pathing tool, give the new houseguest the option to fight back automatically. With updated AI and difficulty levels from easy to almost unbeatable. Like chess computers, poker training programs etc.

Add a combat log to the base game. At least for console players, who can't use addons.

Let us buy more than just one of these houseguests. We could watch them fight each other group vs group, and then bomb them all or something...

Take the new AI and let us use our alt characters as companions. All of them. At the same time. Everywhere.

Nobody will ever need friends or guilds ever again. This way we could even play offline and skip the whole performance fixing part. Elder scrolls offline, the new MMORPG (Massively multiboxing offline role-playing game).

Maybe i got a bit carried away at the end, sorry...
