Lead Cooldown?

Anyone know if theres a cooldown on getting the same lead that you've just completed an antiquity with?

I don’t think there is a hard timer on the leads, but not 100% sure. I’ve had the same lead drop multiple times in a day.

Specifically for repeatable actions like harvesting, opening chests or killing random monsters which can drop furnishing leads in certain zones.

I have never seen single antiquities with a cooldown.

If it is part or a multi part item a second will not drop until you have completed the item in full. After completing the item those will begin to drop again.

Sometimes it is just terrible RNG on things. In cold Harbor the one gold lead that drops from plant picking is almost always very fast after you dig up the previous ones but I have had other items I wanted a second copy of take forever over several farming sessions.

I'll echo what others have said. I don't think there is a cooldown. I've had days where I've got 3-4 leads in a row in a matter of minutes. Others where I went for months without getting the one lead I was hunting (Twitching Eyeball lead for Mora's Whispers). And then there is the one I have resigned myself to never getting (Dov-rha Sabaton Toe Cap). Its just RNG, brutal and simple

@El_Borracho I get leads first try almost everytime.

The question was not how many i can get from different antiquities though. Thats easy enough.

The question was aimed at getting a lead, completing an antiquity, then whether theres a cooldown on getting the same lead again straight away.

My answer would be the same that there is no cooldown. I recall leads falling like rain after completing the Torc, almost got a second one the same day without even trying.

    There is no general cooldown.
But leads, that are part of a series of leads to form a mythic or a collectible furnishing, have limitations. Those "partial" leads gets locked out of levelled lists until the respective mythic or collectible furnishing is completed.
When the mythic is completed, all partial leads become available again at the same time.

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

    There is no cooldown.
Though you can not get the duplicate, so you have to dig the Antiquity first.
If the lead is a part of multipart Antiquity you have to assemble the whole thing first, then its components leads start to drop again
To check i would suggest picking alchemy flowers in Hollow City. (or resource nodes in Coldharbour) - you get Void-Crystal Anomaly lead on average with very generous 1:4 drop rate. So you normally can re-obtain it in less than a minute after you complete the existing void-crystal lead by digging the thing (it requires level 7 in Scrying and skillpoints allocated to do Master difficulty leads). Based on that i can state there is no cooldown.
