Queue broken?

So a friend and myself have tried for a couple days to queue for a random dungeon. I am queued as healer and he is queued as DPS and the queue never pops. We have sat in the queue for over 30 minutes with no luck. Is there something going on? I have queued on my DPS solo when he isn't online and never have to wait more than 6 minutes 99% of the time.

If the tank queues up, they can get in within seconds.
If the healer queues up, it can go in a minute.
If the tank and healer queue up, they can wait forever.

Group Finder are broken in some aspects. Queuing as two, with different roles, is above its ability.
    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

Yes, this is a weird bug when queueing with less than 4 players but more than a solo queue. If a healer or tank queues solo, its normally a very quick wait, sometimes instant. But if a tank or healer queues with a DD, for some reason, it takes a long time, if it even pops at all. For those instances, have the DD queue. Its much quicker.

If you try to go with 2 DDs, forget it. Have yet to see that one work.

I'll try this next time and see. It seemed weird to me that as a healer we couldn't get a queue to pop in over 30 minutes. Odd that there is some sort of issue with the system that I am sure they are aware of but haven't been able to iron out. Thanks for all the replies.

    Hi all,

We wanted to give everyone some visibility into a couple of issues we are currently tracking involving the Dungeon Finder.

The first is a recurring issue where some group members appear to be offline after you port into a dungeon or are not ported at all. We’ve been working on a fix for this that will hopefully make it into U39.

The other issue relates to queueing as a group for a dungeon, specifically as a Tank or Healer. We've seen reports where these roles take longer than intended to get matched into a group, and after some investigating, we found there is indeed a problem here when certain conditions are met. While we work on addressing this, we want to offer some additional information that you can leverage as a workaround in the meantime:
    • In 3-person groups:
      • Tank, Healer and Direct Damage (DD) combination: If the Tank or Healer is the group lead, the LFG queue times will be significantly longer than if the DD is the group lead.
      • 2 DD and a Healer, or 2 DD and a Tank: If the Tank or Healer is group lead, the LFG queue times will be slightly longer than if the DD is the group lead, but to a much lesser extent than the Tank/Healer/DD combo above.
    • 4-person groups do not appear to be impacted by this issue in any way.
Until we can get a fix for this, we suggest queuing up with the DD as group leader for any 3 person groups so you get through the queues much quicker.

Great question. We've found 2 player groups are slightly impacted (specifically when there is 1 DPS and 1 Tank/Healer as lead) but not nearly as much as 3 player groups. In this scenario, the workaround of making sure the Tank/Healer is not lead still applies and should help.

False. Tank and Healer role is the only way to get into Dungeon Finder queue with 2 players.
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

So a issue from over a year ago still hasn't been addressed? 🤨

That seems crazy to me. Appreciate it.

One year is nothing on ESO. Some problems have been in the game forever and will probably never be fixed, addressed or at least acknowledged. Usually they blame the players for doing something wrong (performance issues, disconnects etc.) or don't want to talk about it at all.

I was very surprised to read Gina's post last year (otherwise my Homer Simpson brain wouldn't have remembered it one year later) because they don't do that very often.

That is very disappointing. I guess its either not a priority or its a spaghetti code problem.
