What things are account-wide?

So champion points (CP) are account wide, right? What else?

I plan on utilizing all eight characters slots. I wanna dedicate a master crafter character. So if I purchase ESO+, will the infinite craft bag be of cross-use on all eight characters?

What about housing?

Thanks.

My game is 24 hours away from fully downloading. I'll be playing a lot soon and then leaving this forum for two weeks at a time before the next annoying question.

Hotspot download speeds are very slow. Please forgive.

Yes, craft bag is account-wide and so are houses. Some currency such as transmute are account-wide, but gold, tel var, and alliance points are not (but you can bank them). Banks are account-wide, guilds are account-wide, most achievements are account-wide, outfit station unlocks are account-wide, collection book is account-wide. CP is account-wide in that the amount of cp you have to allocate is account-wide, but the specific allocations are character-based. Collection menu items are account-wide. Companion levels are account-wide but rapport is not.

You will find most things explained if you look up ESO wiki or do a search with ESO in the start + what you are looking for with most search engines.

Here you can see under Character Information section information about Champion points and other stuff like First time Player.

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Online

As first time player it can be important to know that there is two (mega)server: one for NA and one for EU. If you buy anything that is tied to Crown Store then you will not be able to use it on the other mega server, so be careful on which server (EU or NA) you make a purchase when you are in Crown Store in game as you can not transfer items purchased or share them on the other server.

There is no information on your profile here on ESO Forum if you play on console or PC.

If you play on PC then you can also make use of add on which is very helpful to level up a crafter and do daily tasks like Writs or reminding about when you can do next upgrade of your mounts stamina, mounts inventory (it will provide your Player Character extra Inventory slots) or mount speed.

Here is add on which will automatically purchase upgrade of stamina, speed or inventory space for your mount when you interact with that vendor for mount upgrades as long you have enough Gold on that character.

    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2495-LazyHorseTrainer.html

Here I would suggest you level up to level 10 as then you both unlock a free mount and can go to Cyrodiil and do the Introduction quest for PvP as when you have finished that quest you will also have unlocked a skill point and can then use that to get a permanent buff to your mounts speed (see link about Gallop).

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Buffs#Gallop

This buff is permanent and will be active also in PvE maps.

Down here you can find link to Minion which is used to download and manage add on. Minion will fetch files from ESOUI.com which is also listed here as a link. Use always Minion to download and don't install manually add on as those add on will not be managed by Minion, if you haven't installed it from Minion.

    Website for add on: https://www.esoui.com/addons.php

@Soarora did a good job at explaining what is account bound and what is character bound. As for gear you will find out that some gear is bound to your character when you equip it (bound on equip or BoE - there is also Bind of Pick (BoP) up which means when you get this item it will get bound to that character) which means that you can transfer that item to another account or sell it in Guild Store as long you don't try it out on your character (aka equip it). There are items that will be bound as fast as you take out of a container and there is items that are bound to account (as an example you might get a container which have bound in tooltip and when you open container you will see that item will be bound to your character or account). My suggestion is to always read tooltip before you take any action.

As for add on I will suggest at least take a look at Character Knowledge as that is an add on that will both help you to keep track of which character that have learned recipes or have if your character or account have collected an item that have been bound to your account in form of Sticker book. Sticker book make it possible to craft item later on that account when you have Transmutation stones which get from doing Daily Pledges.

ESO-Hub is another source that can be very helpful with guides etc for a new player.

You mention in your post here that you want to make use of all 8 slots. I would only start with two at maximum as it is time consuming to level up character to level 50 as you need to be on that character to gain XP for Champion Points.

The very reason why I suggest to start with only two is to avoid that you use Gold on character which you later want to delete and start over, so it is better to focus on one or two character which will take time to level up and also take time to do research on for crafting as time will increase when you will get close to researching the 9th trait.

Keep at least one slot free as can then create a character which you then use to get a free room (housing a account wide and when unlocked free room it is also permanent for other character to access). When you have unlocked that free room then you can delete that character and create new and get another free room in another zone.

Here is a video explaining this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tir1EMy1pFc

When you have unlocked Master Writs for you crafter you get as a reward in form of Writ Vouchers which can then purchase
Storage Chests for you house. or Transmutation Station (craft station). Storage chest are also sold in Crown Store so you can save some real money from getting your crafter up to that level where you can start to do Master Writs.

Here is a guide of Master Writs and down here you will also see how to start your crafting progression to get up to Master Writs crafting ( list those in reverse order as to explain why will want to get your crafting up to that level where you have finished research which will take time).

    https://eso-hub.com/en/guides/master-writs-how-to
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-crafting-writs-guide/

Dolgubon’s Lazy Writ Crafter (PC) (link in Alcast guide above; use Minion to download) is a very good add on to handle those task for fast picking up all Daily Crafting quest, to automatically craft as long you have learned recipe and motif and to deliver and auto open those containers, so don't have to open containers that are from doing this quest and save some time.

With PersonalAssistant (add on) I can also fast sell all items when I interact with NPC merchant and auto decon when I use Decon assistant or when I am a Craftstation. I can recommend to use that add on as it make a lot of those task easier and faster, if you enable it in that add on settings.

    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info3512-PersonalAssistantBankingConsumeJunkLootRepairWorkerMasteroshi430sbranch.html#info

With ESO + you will also have access to all DLCs and with that you will also be able to do Antiquities which where a part of Greymore DLC.

    https://alcasthq.com/eso-full-antiquities-list-with-locations-of-leads/

This system is something you need that small quest in Skyrim on each character to unlock which for getting access to search for Antiquities. I would recommend to unlock this as early as possible as you get leads that are green to start in each map which when you have found and dug up can be sold to NPC vendors for 250 Gold each and later when you unlock purple quality leads will give you 1000 Gold when sold to vendor which can help to pay for mount upgrades etc.

This add on here is very useful to manage leads: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2651-DisplayLeads-withLocationInfo.html#info

To save you from each time have to use Antiquarian Eye to search for where to dig as it will automatically show a blue arrow in which direction to look for where to dig when you are close to lead. There is also another add on which will create a keybind to fast bring up that tool for using that lead to find dig site.

    https://www.esoui.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=3493

I hope this wasn't overwhelming, but gave you enough information on how to make the most out of what you can do in game as there is a lot of stuff that are time consuming and will take time (like everyday doing research of traits when it is possible and get skill point to unlock more of crafting abilities or work to get Antiquities to get better reward etc).

There are quest that you only need to have done once on one character like Gold Roads to start to get chance of getting Luminous Ink from nodes that can give you that item (see link for guide) and then quest which you need to on every character on that account to unlock for every character that you want to use that progression system like Antiquities.

There are a few silly quirks in the Achievements. For example, if you have six characters that each know the nine racial crafting styles, then you get the True Style Master achievement for more than 50 styles known, because 6x9=54, where it should probably have been 50 distinct styles across all characters. This means that some furnishings are available for purchase from the Achievement Furnishers sooner than they were before AWA,

Progression (map completion like delves, PDs, WBs), gear collection (set collection tab), champion points (account level progression after 50), lots of achievements, etc.

The things that realistically NEED/SHOULD be account wide like mount training, research, recipe knowledge, motif knowledge, etc are not. If something is in the crown store or can be sold by ZOS, it won't be account wide.
