They probably won't ever consider doing that. The "limitations" on the CS assistants are deliberate, presumably so that the cities don't stop being busy.

Guildmasters should get a trader in their guild hall, this would greatly enhance guild communities.

that would be a compromise and might make guild halls more attractive - especially smaller guilds where everyone has access to the bank

I'd bet on that being the primary reason, and among the lesser ones would be the opportunity to sell separate guild banker assistants, should they ever change their mind.

OK. How often do you need to access any guild bank?

I've never needed to either place or retrieve items from a Guild Bank when I'm in town, let alone when I'm not.
I simply don't use this feature.

For me? Never. Only guild I'm in is the teleport guild. I am quite sure I'm a major minority though.

We're all perfectly aware that ESO is a first class nightmare in the inventory management department and apart from subscribing, the only way to mitigate that is to use guild banks for extra storage.

    Nice.
But most of us spend more time playing far from a town than in one.

Guild banks only available from a brick and mortar location are just one more limitation to keep players wasting time in game doing mundane things like traveling to/from areas away from action/combat/farming/exploring, and using less actual consumable content, so we burn through it more slowly.
It's the same reason so many daily writ turn in locations are strategically placed 'far'enough' away from crafting locations to make accessing them inconveniently time consuming.
In a more-real-life scenario, manufacturing hubs and distribution hubs aren't generally placed at the opposite ends of most towns.
Obviously - this clearly aint 'the real world', that doesn't make common sense economic rules inapplicable, but it does makes them glaringly absent in an MMO world like ESO.

At least put more 'bank teller' locations scattered around the maps, in more towns.

The game is designed to burn time without burning playable content too quickly, to keep us busy for longer periods of time, but the lag and other things like making summoning mounts (summoning a mount after turning in daily writs can take me up to a minute after turning in writs) are already onerous enough in daily play as to make mundane daily activities as needlessly boring as waiting for a survey node to respawn.

All of the assistants have drawbacks so they don't replace using town services. Like, if you go to launder in the Thieves Den, maybe you hit a guild store. If you go to town to put something in the guild bank, maybe you help the person in say chat that needs a duel for their endeavor. That sort of thing. They want the towns to function as hubs so that there are areas where people can meet one another. It's a multiplayer game, after all.

    sad but kinda true.

they probably will just add another guild banker in crown store instead of improving this one. adding the feature to the existing assistants would have zero drawback for other players. most people i know use guild halls anyway so why don't buff guild communities

This is such a non-problem. Most guild members are in ranks that don't provide access to the guild bank anyway. Most players probably aren't even in guilds.

If the real problem here is: 'I'm at the Guild Hall, but forgot to get something from the Guild bank', then the solution is to teleport to the Rawlka wayshrine, run up the steps into the bank and access the Guild bank, then teleport back to the guild hall. Not awesome and not hard.

Some Guild 'elites' maybe, most people would never have conceived the question.
As for 'weighing in' - I think the idea is superfluous rather than important.

It was a contemptuous response not really intended to be nice. But thanks anyway.
Most of us come to town at some point. Nowhere is anything in this game 'far away'.

What would be awesome is the introduction of the old 'Mark and Recall' spells.
It would resolve this tiny problem.

You say "Some Guild 'elites' maybe" as if you associate guilds and guild bank access as something rare. Almost as if you yourself have little to no access to a guild bank on a regular basis. I assure you, this is not the case for many many players. Don't conflate your experience with that of every other player.

And yes, it's not difficult to pop on over to any wayshrine with a bank conveniently located next it. However, there are moments when it's not ideal to just pop away.

That being said. The actual reason guild bank access isn't given to banking assistants, is because it would remove yet another aspect of Immersion from the game. Something that's slowly been picked away piece by piece. Would it be convenient for players? Absolutely. But the end result would be fewer players found in public gathering places, resulting in less immersion within city limits because they'd be ghost towns.

Guild bank access is locked away behind a RANK. One particular Right can restrict access to 'deposit only'

Access to the Right (via a rank) that allows withdrawal from guild bank is given to trusted players, usually high or frequent donators; or players with enough rapport with the Guild owner to be some level of 'admin'. This has been done to prevent new members from fleecing the guild bank and disappearing. You already know that.

Many guilds use a system of 'requesting an item' from an officer; rather than direct access for non-elite members.

It has been well-known, since ESO started, that some players start small guilds in order to access storage that is not paid for. 500 extra storage slots for free is a good deal by anyone's measurement. You already know that, too.

'Immersion' is not the primary reason that this does not exist. Potential player abuse of the feature is one reason.
Encouraging players to buy more storage is another.

Experience suggests that guild banks used for 'members' rather than 'owners', contain low-value recipes, mats, PvP equipment, 1 and 2 pot potions and maybe some low-end equipment suitable for deconning. Things that are useful, but not valuable.

So I now go back to my initial response of:

    Why would you need that?

It's a genuine question. What is the user requirement for this feature to be added? No software gets developed without a documented reason to justify the effort and expense.
