(NOTICE: This is an off-topic thread, unrelated to ESO. It is therefore advised those of you with a sensitivity to off-topic threads go try French opera instead).

I've just got done reading the latest reports about the uninvited guest named Milton barreling towards the Sunshine State. Those reports - were highly concerning.

To anyone who is reading this in Florida - PLEASE STAY SAFE. And remember - real life ALWAYS comes before games. ESO will still be here once the storm has passed, so please make sure you prioritize your safety over gaming (whether in ESO or some other game).

As someone who was blasted with the remnants of Helene 12 days ago despite living in the Midwest/Great Lakes region - and whom has a coworker currently sheltering in place down in the Sunshine State - y'all are in my thoughts these next few days.

That is all. And apologies if this is not well-written - I am super tired, and I don't write well when I am super tired.
If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!

This is just a horrible thing for y'all to deal with - I hope you all who needed to, evacuated (and I HOPE there was gas!), and I really REALLY hope you return to less damage than expected.

    Be safe, be well....

Yeah, this is a serious situation and hopefully things are going OK. When the mayor of Tampa says to get out or you will die, it isn't joking around.

Thank you for the best wishes, coming from southwest Florida.
I have lived on the gulf coast of Florida for almost my entire life.
Needless to say, hurricanes follow me around year after year.
And, this year it has been Helene and Milton, both back to back.
I lived through the Big 4 in 2004 (Charley, Frances, Ivan, & Jeanne).
As well as Wilma and Katrina a year later in 2005.
And, most recently, Irma in 2017 and Ian in 2022.
Amongst many other major storms in between then.

I made a similar (slightly different) post in the other thread, here:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/666873/hurricane-helene-help-zos/p3

These storms have been getting larger and larger every year. Each one sets a new record.
My small town of 20,000 residents had 65 million unique views on our pier's live web-cam.
When winds and tides are high, floods rage by, all we can do is hunker-down and standby.
My cell service is very limited, so the only way to pass the time is to read here and there.
P.S. will someone please give Milton back his red stapler?!

Missed this thread during the frantic prep and just got power/Internet back yesterday, so a lot of catching up to do.

Was nice to see this. :) I live in northeast Florida, so did not evacuate as we were not in the type of peril the Gulf Coast was. But Milton's exit was still strong and Wednesday night was a very scary/long night listening to those winds howl, the rain pour, and objects thudding on the roof, hoping none would actually penetrate through.

The aftermath is a ton of large branches all over the yard and on the roof to cut up and dispose of, but I'll take that all day long over actual damage or loss. We got lucky on Atlantic side. It took the better part of the day, but I managed to get in touch with all of my friends and family and they, too, came out similarly unharmed.

Thoughts are with those who took the brunt and those who were pounced upon by the crazy amount of tornados he spawned ahead of his arrival.

My town has had daily blackouts from 10PM to 10AM since the storm. Everything resets every 30 minutes between that timeframe. No storm in my area has ever caused this kind of issue in the past. It is unfathomable.
