Oakensoul ring

Hello.
Just wanted to ask around. Have you noticed the damage and buff changes on Oakensoul ring? i was running the build and did kind a good..
But now it feels like im lacking of dps and bufs. Playing as DK. Putting Malachats ring of brutality gives out more damage. Just curios.
No need to be rude, just asking because people in zone chats are talking about it too.

Between now and when? Oakensoul has changed since it was first added, but not recently in the notes at least.

This week? Because i was working whole week.. Last week i was playing on ssame setup and had bigger dps output than now.. if thats not the ring . maybe skils of dk.. but there is no info... So thats why im asking out of curiosity.

its probably been at least a year since oakensoul really had any changes done to it, and a lot of the changes with it were pretty minor

i think there has been occasional bugs (not sure if these happened recently) where it might stop providing buffs, so at a worse case take it off and put it ton again and it should make sure its working

Nothing different here either, and I live and love in OakenCro.

I would say however, that you compared it to a two bar build. Any good two bar build used by a player who can use it properly, can out DPS almost any Oaken build.

As mentioned above there have been bugs with items and sets not giving correct buffs.

One situation was after doing side rooms in IA, it wasn't there you noticed it, was it?

You haven't changed an item of clothing, or a weapon accidently have you?

Just saying, because on occasion when binding something, I have been known to equip it and not realise!!

I remember this... But no.. just was fighting in dungeon. when i have time i go into few veteran again to test it out

In what manner are you dealing damage with Oakensoul? Are you activating skills, or heavy attacking? The Empower buff Oakensoul provides can help push the dps of heavy attack sets even higher. Your dps can vary depending on what sets you are using. Also, make sure you have all pieces of your set equipped.

Running oak necro for IA and the only thing that has changed is that the game is bugging differently (interesting is that my dps arca isbugged still same) than it did before maintenance.

Remember that Oakensoul grants you buffs, but doesn't debuff the target.
If you noticed the difference in group play, then the group may affect your dps a lot.
For example yesterday you might play with two good support-debuffers, but today played with a selfish tank and a fake healer.

I run Oakensoul as well and have not noticed a recent drop in damage.

Most of those I run with also use Oakensoul so my healer actually accounts for that, providing Major Courage and Minor Sorcery (two buffs not on Oakensoul that combine to boost weapon/spell damage by about 1000). She also provides major breach (not on Oakensoul) for when solo or without a tank.
