Bash attack not using ability queue (cooldown = 333ms + network latency)

The bash cooldown on the server is 333ms but nobody is able to achieve that interval. If you spam bash with mousewheel up, the fastest any player is able to bash is 333ms + network latency.

Examples:

A player with 100ms ping can bash every 380ms.
A player with 200ms ping can bash every 430ms.
A player with 300ms ping can bash every 480ms.

etc

Here's a CMX log showing a bash interval of ~380ms.

Please enable an ability queue for Bash attack so the server will cast a Bash at exactly a 333ms interval regardless of ping.

Here's a comment where a player is only able to bash once every 0.433 seconds due to latency. Adding an ability queue for Bash would allow all players to have the same combat experience with Bash attack.
That explains why my limit is 0.433s per bash at 233ms ping.

Unless they're on Xbox, since we can't keybind bash afaik. Nobody runs these builds on Xbox probably for that reason if I'm right.

I just hope that they dont break it. It is nice now that bash it works pretty well vs desync and latency because you do not need a target to bash.
    Because I can!

I agree with all you said Colovian, as long as there isn't use of any macros im all about ZOS fixing their game!

Even if you could it wouldn't be that good. The only people running the build on PC are people abusing macros.

Not entirely true, and I am saying this as someone with pretty bad latency.

It is possible to get 0,33 sec value although I really wouldn't rely so heavily on cmx's combat log data.

I was running that build and still occasionally use it and I am not "abusing macros" so that makes Your claim already false.

Dude get over it. No one is using macros for a bash build.

Wanted to comment my spoiler on the other thread, but it got derailed and closed down...
I've ran bash builds in the past (never used macros, or even considered using them). Using the scroll wheel makes it so insanely easy to consistently spam bash attacks off cooldown with consistent and near perfect timing, especially when just spamming bash and not weaving other attacks).

I use the G602 mouse (so no free scrolling mouse wheel) and was still able to spam the bash input fast enough to get kicked from the server for spamming too many messages (inputs) to the server, so it's not just possible but extremely easy to spam enough inputs with the mouse wheel to consistently get bash attacks at cooldown (barring a lag/ping spike or latency issue that screws with commands being sent to the server), even with my 300+ ping.

A tip for making it even easier (if you're like me and don't have a free scrolling mouse wheel) is to rebind both "scroll wheel up" and "scroll wheel down" to be the bash input, that way you don't have to constantly spam the wheel in a single direction and can just rock the wheel back and forth.

Also want to mention, having played mobas like Dota 2, shooters like CS and RTS games like C&C/StarCraft, where pros have input speeds of well over 200 apm (or minimum 3+ actions every second) for literally hours straight, using bash once every 0.33 seconds consistently over the course of a 5-10 minute fight in ESO, is nothing for players who have developed that level of skill and muscle memory, especially since bash is the same button and not multiple different buttons and even more so when you can just rebind it and scroll the mouse wheel.

Anyway, back to directly on topic, in regards to latency affecting bash attack speed/"cooldown", that's interesting if that's what's happening, completely explains how some players were able to consistently bash faster than I could on live servers unless I only spammed bash and nothing else (p.s. never thought it was macros, but was very curious how they did it, since I did already know about the scroll wheel trick).

Definitely something that needs looking into and fixing for sure, even if they end up just doing a simple fix such as queueing bash attack inputs like they do for abilities that are cast mid heavy attack channel.
