    I get it, it sucks.
Of course everybody being safe is by far the most important, nobody disagrees with the perspective in that, and helene is a scary and sad storm on your (and others) path.
But it does suck missing out if you had been looking forward to this event.

When my house burned down people kept saying stuff like 'thank god you weren't there, you could have died' which is true, and I get the concern, and possibly also the feeling of not knowing what the hell to say. The thing is just, that it might also have been better, I might have been able to stop the fire before it took everything I owned including my home. And that happening was bad enough too, I don't need somebody to tell me it could be worse. That does not make me feel better and was infuriating to listen to, because it could have been a whole lot better too.
I also missed eso for a few days then and missed out on some event stuff, it wasn't a big deal, but it was still minor sadness on top of major sadness.
Eso was the one thing I didn't loose in the fire though. Everything was the same when I came back. My digital stuff was all there. Which made eso an extra nice escape, but it was also a strange feeling. I felt like I needed a sign 'please be soft with me, and extra nice, I'm hurting, my house just burned down'. But at the same time, it was also a place I could go and think about something else than the fire. - I was kinda broken though, and I used to do a daily bg, but I lost the first one after I was back, and it made me cry (noone did anything wrong, I was just really in need of feeling good, and apparently a thorough wooping didn't make me feel so good at that point). I know it's silly, but this is one of the reasons we should always try to be really nice to people, even in an artificial digital world it still matters a lot. That doesn't mean you should stop being better at pvp than me, just don't steal my chest that I'm fighting for (in pve zones), or try to aggro monsters to bother me while I peacefully fish.
No matter if we're hurting or not, it makes a better world when we make plenty of room for each other, and try to take care.

Well that was stupidly long, and to anyone who read this far, I offer my sheepish apologies that I'm awful at keeping it short sticking to one point.

I'm sadly not on pc na, otherwise I would offer you some of the ingame rewards I'll get, or some help when you get back. (I've yet to actually buy west weald, and I'm still debating with myself if I should, but there are other pick-me-ups to offer in eso  )

This is a beautiful and important post, and I hope more people see this.
We have no clue what the person on the other side is going through, and it's worth showing some compassion instead of being selfish (stealing nodes people are fighting mobs for and such).
Wishing for Lilmothiit race still! Or maybe Lilmothiit companion?

I’m also affected by the storm— no power since 4:43AM Friday, and large tree limbs down all around the house. It put things in perspective, and I’m thankful that everyone I know is safe, but I do miss ESO!
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I live in the Tampa Bay area, and I was playing as the storm passed. Got, kicked off several times as the internet got disconnected here and there, but just kept logging back on determined to play the event content as much as I could., and I got it done!
