Good changes in 10.2.0

Really happy to see the changes to NB cloak, arc's Impervious Runeward, and sorc's Hardened Ward in the patch notes. I know there will be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth in the days and weeks to come as people react to their most-crutched-on abilities getting adjusted, but I think these changes are a step in the right direction. Thank you!

I'll have to test the cloak change myself, but I agree that all three changes seem to be a step in the right direction. Also agree that there is about to be an enormous amount of outrage here. It'll be glorious.

Personally I think changes are far from enough. NB and sorc still S tier.

They can't change sorc more without reconsidering pve balance, as sorc tanks are currently very strong in pve and it's nice having the diversity to where there are 5 good tank classes (only nb and plar tanks aren't used outside of casual content).

Wish they'd balance the 2 modes separately.

If something is too good in PvP, then that is where the change should have been made (battle spirit or whatever else distinguishes the two modes). I dream of the day when the PvE and PvP are balanced separately.

Prolly only sorc will remain S tier. From my testing, cloak duration is like 50% nerfed (unless they will tone the cost per 2 seconds down). What is weird is that this nerf also affects solo PvE (and will be more substantial there), and cloak was never an issue there.

I want to test. I'd like more changes, particularly more to sets and I still feel like Necro is too far behind and not sure what they are even trying to do with Templar; but Im interested in quite a few of these.

Is this serious? I did most of my 4 man trifectas on a NB tank. They have the best damage mitigation in the game and they are the only class that can perma block.

Damage mitigation is not a consideration in 12 man content, which was the main content I was considering. Perma blocking isn't really considered a good thing, given your enchants will never proc.

Yeah, I like the idea of buffing Grave Grasp but the corpse creation on the final patch (which is the hardest to land) just ain't it.

IMO, the sections should be additive with each other, like:

    First: Chilled
    Second: Chilled + DOT
Third: Chilled + DOT + corpse

I play only NB PvE on my main and I'm cautiously optimistic about the cloak change, less micro-management, I'll probably have to switch over some attribute points from stamina into magicka when it goes live

I'm very excited with this patch notes.
    -Good balancing
-Interesting Sets (The siege one omg)
    -More logical Tutorial
-Important Items made stockable in bank
-AP bonus from ESO+ (Faster Alliance Rank leveling YAY)
-"Joining Encounter in Progress" update to base game Dungeons and Trials (WOO!!)
-Tel Var Merchant reworked into Infinite Archive merchant bis (MOAR LEADS WOOO !!)
    -New Dwarven House !!!!
-CHEF ARQUITIUS LOST THESIS REVIVED *Explodes*

Only bad thing I saw was that it said Narsis was entombed in a Sarcophagus in Skyrim, while it was in Wrothgar :(

Permablocking will definitely hurt uptime, but enchantments will still proc from weapon skills.

I'm pretty sure this change exists only for GLS users. I think the change that this skill needed was to have the crowd control remain but in reverse order. So stun in the first patch, immobilize in the second, and snare in the third patch. Are reliable CC is what the Necro needed. Next is a sticky dot. Third, class skills need to actually be good (Scythe needs execute scaling)!

Now they only need to address the entire GodMode™ DK class. Not the least their new Cheesy Class set lol. Want to talk about crutches? LOL. Maybe it's well overdue to induce the same level of mass hysteria over the Over Power of DKs as you guys lamented over a class that depended entirely on an Alliance Skill Line skill to have a slither of survival finally got a one skill that could replace it.

This cloak change will ruin the stamblade for many people. These people who rarely post here all showing up now with similar phrases praising this nerf all seem to be having a good time though.

How though? explain instead of complain.

When zos removed infinite streaking, do you think that was a bad change or can we have that back?

Roll dodge ramp cost to prevent spammers, was that bad?

If zos removed perma block tanking, do you think that would be a bad change?

Zos wants to reduce/remove perma cloaking and suddenly its an issue? Not to mention there are plenty of ways around it if you want to stay invis 100% of the time.

If not from stabby taunt, they will proc if you slot Cutting Defence CP.
