Undaunted Pledges don't complete if you get backfilled

Seriously, I had two failed Bloodroot Forge veteran runs due to leavers before the first required boss. Got put into a mid-run game. I told them it wasn't going to count, and a player there assured me it would. It didn't count, and here's the picture-proof. This is abhorrent anti-player and unethical design. This sort of design discourages backfilling and punishes players for playing earnestly. Now, what I have to do is start another run, kill that boss, AND LEAVE. Please, fix this.

I'm going to do a partial run on normal to see if I can learn if the key payout is linked to every checkpoint or just the last boss

I just finished killing that first boss on Normal and leaving. Thanks for that, ZoS. It would take you 10 minutes to fix all of these malevolent dungeon pledges, but you're too busy adding lootboxes and chores like Antiquities into the game. You'd rather add new DLCs with hundreds of boring, broken "puzzles" that are never anything beyond "match the symbols" or click on the glowy things and wait. Truly egregious and it's unbelievable that they've gotten away with leaving old content broken for so long, even as current events bring people to play said broken content. You shouldn't have to wrestle with the game to get your rewards. It should be intuitive. The entire game should be of quality, not quantity, and rewards should be distributed for doing things rather than being in-the-know with esoteric jank anti-user requirements.

Newer dlc pledges tend to be just "complete dungeon x", but for the older dlcs and base game dungeons that follow this list of bosses, yes you need them all. And I think I've gotten the hm pledge reward in the past for ones where I had to go back and kill a skipped boss on normal (but the first run was vet hm).

They've slowly been doing a pass on older dungeons to bring them up to par with newer ones in terms of some QoL fixes (such as getting pulled to boss if someone runs ahead). Hopefully updating the pledge requirements is also on their radar.

older pledges require killing multiple bosses in the dungeon instead of just completion of the dungeon

would be nice if they did update them to only require final boss kills

It would be nice if ZOS fixed the dungeons.
The other big one if the combat bug: in latter dlc dungeons you get pulled into the last fight if the other team members are there. However, in the older dungeons (e.g. Blackheart Haven) it is entirely possible to spend the last fight on the other side of the door because you are combat bugged.
It stinks if you are doing a pledge.

That one's being fixed in the next update. All of the remaining older dungeons and trials are getting the "join encounter" treatment.
