Is this a bug or is this normal? weekly coffers for normal Cloudrest is dropping perfected weapons

I was bored last night and decided to do a normal Cloudrest (Yes I was that bored) I noticed that after getting my weekly coffer (After doing +3) I received a perfected weapon from the coffer. I admit that I don't religiously read patch notes so perhaps I'm missing something? Anyhow coffers are now giving out perfected gear per a character, at least in Cloudrest. Is this normal or is it a bug? @ZOS_Kevin

from my understanding the quest coffers do not give out perfected items, even if you run the trial on vet

this is still how it functions in other trials (did a vet sanity edge and vet lucent citadel over the weekend and the quest coffers were giving non perfected items)

the only way i know of that is supposed to give perfected items as rewards is the weekly leaderboard emails, which still require at least vet clears

Same seen the same thing on xbox as well and never ran it on vet was just bored and ended up getting perfected items as well

I did cloudrest +3 twice last night... on normal... I completed my weekly quests by talking to the woman after defeating Z’Maja, and I got a perfected weapon.. the second time I did it (I was testing out my new necro tank) I got a perfect amulet of Olorime.

i understood you thats why i said "perfected items" because the boxes give random gear rewards, and i know you said normal, but the trial difficulty doesnt matter for the quest coffer

its definitely a bug though if your getting perfected items from the boxes though, it shouldnt matter if you did the trial on normal or vet, the quest coffer has never given perfected items before (and doesnt for other trials)

Weekly trial rewards are curated as of u43. So the question is: does the quest reward fall under that category?

If they are, then it makes sense for them to drop perfected gear (from a vet run anyway).

Or is it only referring to the mail you get when a trial is the weekly?

Or is it both?

they ran normal, so the leaderboard email is not taken into account, its talking about the quest coffer, which to date has never given perfected gear regardless of which difficulty its run on

its likely the curation is unintentionally broken for this trial and giving perfected gear from the trial coffer

I saw someone advertising in zone last night that normal Cloudrest +3 drops perfected and have been seeing a lot of those runs in group finder now.

More bans coming or is this legit?

Edit:
The group finder listings for nCR +3 fill up really fast, so maybe it is ok. I would like to know because I could use some perfected gear too.

Just a fyi this problem is still going on as we speak. I joined in on a random +3 normal cloud rest on my tank using via Trial Finder, and I still got a perfected gear from the coffer. I did a vLC recently, and the coffer gave me a NORMAL piece of gear. something is going on with the trial coffers... especially vet that isn't dropping perfect gear, but normal cloudrest does?
