Daily Quest for Lucent Citadel

It happened now the second time that I joined a group already somewhere at a boss (presumably not the first) and I could neither pick up the daily quest from Kashego nor could anybody share it.

This is nuts. Because without that quest I don't get the weekly reward. And that is annoying.

    You get a quest item from the final boss. Use it to trigger the quest = get your quest loot box.

    Did they change that? Last time I ran it I picked up the quest from Kashego in the entrance room like for any other trial (green quest marker).

    Every trial has a ‘catch-up’ mechanic specifically for cases where someone joins the trial after it’s already started.

    If you start the trial normally, you can pick up the quest as normal. But if you join late and don’t get to pick up the quest, then the final boss will drop a special item (it’s different for every trial) that is marked as a quest starter. Just use it in your inventory and it will give you the quest so you can turn it in and get your box as normal.

    You can even use it after the trial and then just port to the entry room and turn it in to the questgiver right there. Unlike dungeons, you are able to turn in trial quests at the beginning of a new instance if you forget it in the old one.

    It's a weekly quest. You can do it as many times as you want (multiple times in a day), but you only get the coffer weekly.

    For some trials, not all.
    Asylum doesn't work in a new instance.
    Dsr doesn't work.
    Craglorns and cloudrest definitely work.
